Padma Lakshmi Shares a Precious Photo of the New Addition to Her Family
The Bravo's Top Chef judge just shared a new photo of a special baby in her life.
We're sending out lots of mazels to Padma Lakshmi, who has a cute new baby in her life. The Emmy-nominated Bravo's Top Chef judge confirmed on Instagram that she has a new nephew named Sage (a fitting name for a foodie like Padma, if you ask us).
Aunt Padma shared a photo of herself holding the precious newborn while wearing a mask and captioned the photo: "Please welcome my newest nephew little Sage."
She also tagged the baby's mom and dad, Manu Nathan and Hope Starr Yates.
As it would turn out, there are big things happening for Padma's family members. She recently congratulated her cousin, Sid Nathan, after he got a new job. She wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations to my sweet and funny cousin Sid Nathan! Loving how earnest you look here Pleading face So proud of you! Now go get us some clean energy already!"
Padma has been all about posting family photos on Instagram as of late. Following Kamala Harris' appearance at the DNC earlier this month, Padma shared some photos noting the similarities her family shares with the Democratic vice presidential nominee.
"I just found out Kamala Harris’ grandparents lived right around the corner from mine in Besant Nagar Chennai, India. That means we were probably sent out on errands to the same All-In-One corner store. Our grandpas might have walked together in the same nightly group on Elliot Beach. We were also both raised by single mothers who came to the states for opportunity, and practiced medicine," Padma recalled. "Though we never met then, I have tears in my eyes looking at these photos now. When I saw that black and white photo of her grandpa P.V. Gopalan, I had to really do a double take, because it looked like my own, KCK. Representation matters. The importance of having someone in the White House who looks like you cannot be overstated."
Padma's nostalgia has also branched out to her posting several throwback photos of herself with her daughter.
