Monica Garcia Gets Really Real About Her First Trimester: “No One Told Me"
The RHOSLC mom shared another life update as she prepares to welcome baby No. 5.
Monica Garcia is keeping it 100.
More than a week after announcing her pregnancy with baby No. 5, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City mom took to Instagram to share a quick and lighthearted update on her first trimester. Monica began by posting videos from an April 21 children’s birthday party she attended with her youngest daughters. She highlighted the adorable bounce house and backyard ball pit; the scrumptious-looking food spread; a gorgeous flower bar; and the elaborate party decor dominated by pink, purple, and teal hues.

Now we all know that Monica’s fashion game is pretty solid, especially when she attends social functions; however, the Boston native confessed that wasn’t the case for this particular party.
“I would just like to say that this is how I rolled up to that beautiful event,” she said in a video filmed in her car. “So, yeah.”

The video, which included the hashtags “first trimester problems” and “pregnancy stuff,” showed Monica rocking a makeup-free face, a middle-part updo, a pair of hoop earrings, and a casual V-neck tee.
“And, um, no one told me I had toothpaste on my shirt,” she said in a subsequent Story. “But, I guess, at least I brushed my teeth, so...”

After concluding her first season as a Salt Lake City 'Wife, Monica publicly confirmed she was about seven months pregnant. She shared the “shock” news during the April 11 episode of The Viall Files podcast, saying she found out she was pregnant while receiving medical treatment for an unrelated matter.
“I am pregnant. I literally just found out,” she told host Nick Viall. “I have not told one f-cking person except for my best friend. I’m like seven weeks. But, yeah, I’m pregnant, it’s so crazy. It’s so scary.”

Monica identified the father as Braxton Knight, a 29-year-old Utah resident she met while filming RHOSLC Season 4.
“I’ve been dating him for a year, and no one even knows who he is...” she said during her appearance on The Viall Files podcast. “We actually met during filming. I met him filming… It was so shocking to find out we were [pregnant]. We weren’t trying, I was on birth control, it was a complete shock. We didn’t ever plan on really having kids. And then the second we found out he just was so protective and so caring. He was also very much like, ‘Your body, your choice. Whatever you choose, I’m just here to be your support system and your partner through it.’”
