Melissa Gorga Reveals If Her Current House is Her “Forever Home” and Addresses Those “Jellyfish Chandeliers”
Plus, find out the real reason the RHONJ cast member got rid of her “jellyfish" chandeliers.
Every few years, the question arises: do Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga have another forever home on their minds?
During BravoCon 2023 on Friday, November 3, a fan posed The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members this very question at the Renovators vs. Realtors panel.
"Are you guys in your forever home now?" asked a fan, evoking a giggle from Melissa.
Hear the couple's respective answers below.
Are Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga currently living in their "forever home"?
"For me, yes," Melissa responded. "But, you never know, because I really like the lake across the street. If something opens up right across the street, I will buy that. But only on my same street across the street. Does that make sense?"
To Melissa's surprise, her husband disagreed.
"I say no. Every time you can turn a profit, you sell. And you do it again," the construction expert said. "You never fall in love with anything. You only fall in love with your wife."
In case you need a refresher, the Gorgas officially moved into their current home in November 2022, confirming in June 2023 that their vision for the Franklin Lakes, New Jersey mansion was fully complete.
Melissa Gorga Addresses Her Controversial Chandeliers
While Melissa is happy in her home for now, she's not above making changes to its current setup. After moderator Jenni Pulos asked renovators Melissa and Joe and realtors Josh Altman and Mercedes "MJ" Javid what they knew of each other's houses, Mercedes wasted no time bringing up a controversial topic: Melissa's chandeliers.
"I know that Melissa got a lot of shade for her chandeliers," MJ noted, with the Envy Boutique owner immediately confirming her story. In March 2023, Melissa shared that she'd replaced her foyer's black fabric chandeliers with a new selection made of brass and crystal.
"They're switched already. People thought they looked like flying jellyfish," she said. "I kind of liked them. But I said, 'You know what?' After you called them a jellyfish I can't frickin' unsee it.' But I'll be honest with you, they were a great conversation piece. Everybody wanted to talk about the chandeliers. I've never seen people talk about chandeliers more than this in my life."
Melissa also noted that dealing with the chandeliers was enough to secure her a spot on the panel.
"I think it's understandable to change your mind," MJ said.
Listen, as long as Melissa's happy, we're happy.
