How Joe Gorga Is Staying Connected with Antonia at College: "Miss This"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband is finding ways (and throwback moments) to stay close to his daughter while she is away at college.
As you might imagine, Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga are seriously missing their 20-year-old daughter Antonia Gorga while she's away at the University of Delaware for her sophomore year of college. Luckily, the couple and parents of three can watch old episodes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey when they're really starting to miss their little girl and they can reminisce about when she was younger.
Joe took to his Instagram Story this week, where he revealed that he has been watching old episodes of RHONJ which, of course, also features moments between him and his kids, including Antonia. He shared the moments to his Instagram Stories this week. "I miss this," Joe wrote over the photos, adding, "I miss her."
Antonia, for her part, then returned the love to her dad by reposting his story.
And, no matter the distance, Joe always finds a way to show his kid how much he cares, like when it was her birthday back in August and he wrote on Instagram, "You will always be my baby girl."
How Antonia Gorga is staying connected to Melissa Gorga while at college
While watching TV might help Joe stay connected to his daughter, Antonia has found a genius way to stay close to her mom — by learning how to cook her favorite recipes. Antonia took to her Instagram Story earlier this week, where she showed off her dinner plate of Caesar salad, potatoes, and breaded chicken cutlets that she made in her University of Delaware apartment.
"Copied Mommy's chicken cutlets," Antonia wrote over the photo of her plate.
"She did so good!!" Melissa wrote over the photo of her dinner.
Inside Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga's recent reunion with Antonia Gorga
Although they're still able to find time to stay close when they're apart, Antonia has so much fun with her parents when they're all together. In late September, Melissa and Joe made the trip to the University of Delaware for Parent's Weekend, which they started out by delivering doughnuts and coffee to Antonia's apartment. They also made promises to do nothing too crazy over the weekend.
"He thinks he's ready to keg stand," Melissa said of Joe in a now-disappeared Instagram Story. "It's not happening. We're gonna act like civil adults."
"It is happening," Joe said. "All the frats are fighting over me."
The couple were then able to tour Antonia's apartment, before making repairs to her furniture and restocking her refrigerator. In addition to making themselves at home, Joe and Melissa got to hang out with other University of Delaware families and students and feast on some delicious-looking food while getting so much quality time in with Antonia.
And don't worry, Joe was able to do his keg stand, too.
