Melissa and Joe Gorga got another taste of their daughter’s “college life.”
Just a month after dropping Antonia off at the University of Delaware, The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple returned to the school for Parents Weekend. The annual three-day event allows families to learn more about the campus while checking in and reconnecting with their children.
Melissa and Joe reunite with Antonia for Parents Weekend: "Part 2"
The husband and wife kicked off the festivities on Saturday morning (September 28) and shared differing predictions for their brief getaway.
“All right, guys, Parents Weekend starts now. Part 2, sophomore year,” Melissa said as she and Joe walked down Newark’s Main Street. “He thinks he’s ready to keg stand. It’s not happening. We’re gonna act like civil adults.”
“It is happening,” Joe responded. “All the frats are fighting over me.”
Melissa revealed they were on their way to Antonia’s apartment, where they would have donuts and beverages with Antonia’s roommates and their parents.
“It’s gonna be so cute. Stay tuned,” Melissa said before turning the camera toward the bustling street. “Look how cute Delaware is, you guys. It’s the cutest town. There’s all these people walking. So fun.”
Joe comes to Antonia's rescue: "This is what daddy does"
Melissa and Joe showed up at Antonia’s pad with a box of Mochinut donuts and homemade meals courtesy of Melissa’s mom. However, the food delivery may have been unnecessary, as Joe immediately realized that Antonia’s refrigerator and freezer were fully stocked.
“My god, they’re packed,” he said in a video captioned “college life.” “You guys eat!”
Joe then made his way to Antonia’s bedroom, where he showed off all the furniture he assembled.
“Look at this. My god. Very nice, honey,” he told Antonia before pointing to the dresser, bed frame, and nightstand. “I put that together, I put that together, I put this together...”
“Oh, well guess what? You put this together?” Antonia interjected as she moved toward her vanity/dressing table. “Look at this.”
Antonia revealed that the panel for the top drawer was broken; so, Joe grabbed some tools and immediately fixed it.
“Done. I think I got it,” he said after the repair. “There it is, all fixed. She sat here for two months with a broken drawer, until daddy comes. This is what daddy does.”
Why did Melissa become "so upset" while visiting Antonia?
The Gorgas spent the rest of the day eating and socializing with other UD students and families. Melissa showed off a buffet lunch, which included sliders, sandwiches, and rice balls, while Joe shared a look at his keg-stand skills.
“This is how we do it,” he captioned a September 28 Instagram video. “I got the only mom at the school to do a keg stand.”
Although it was clearly a fun time, Melissa later revealed she was “so upset” she had to miss her sons Gino and Joey Jr.’s football games.
“I just missed your brothers’ touchdowns,” Melissa told her daughter in another Story.
“Too bad, she’s partying with me today,” said Antonia, who is in her second year of college.
“You guys know I never miss a game and Joey scored a couple of touchdowns today. Gino just scored two touchdowns, and I’m missing it!” Melissa continued. “But I am happy I’m with you. But I hate missing my boys’ games.”

Melissa concluded the day by sharing a few highlights from her and Joe’s UD visit. She posted a September 28 carousel that featured a mix of sweet and playful photos.
“Love spending the day with our girl,” she wrote in the post before referencing slide No. 4. “Yea- the signs says ‘HOT MOM DROP OFF.’”
