Kathy Wakile Shares an Update on Her Franklin Lakes Home Renovation: "New Surprises..."
The RHONJ alum has spent more than a year building her and her family's Franklin Lakes abode.
Although it’s far from finished, Kathy Wakile’s home renovation is coming along quite nicely.
On Friday, October 11, The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum provided a quick progress report on her family’s Franklin Lakes property. Kathy posted a photo of the original in-ground pool that overlooked the gorgeous lake and wooded surroundings.

Kathy went on to share a closer look at the home’s construction process, showcasing the multi-level skeleton frame and another peek at her lakefront views. The mother of two also revealed the roof would be added that weekend, suggesting the shell was near completion.
“Roof tomorrow,” she captioned the Story, which tagged her husband, Rich Wakile, construction company Faris Developers, and architectural designer Daniel Dagostino.

Kathy and Rich confirmed the home purchase in March of 2023, just months after selling their previous Franklin Lakes home. The couple’s real estate agent, Tony Nabhan, announced the big news via Instagram, where he posted a photo of him, Kathy, and Rich standing on the property lot.
“I couldn’t be any happier for my clients on securing this once in a lifetime opportunity,” Tony captioned the post. “Nearly 2 acres with 300 feet of lakefront property. After enduring a barrage of offers, the Wakile’s can now start on their newest project called home!”
Kathy has since shared several updates on the renovation as well as a handful of home renderings. In May of 2023, she and her architect provided an inside look at the home’s incredible outdoor space and previous interior, which included hardwood floors, ceiling beams, brick walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Melissa Gorga confirms Kathy Wakile is her new neighbor
During a June appearance on Jeff Lewis Live!, Melissa Gorga confirmed the Wakile’s new home was right down the street from her own house. The Jersey ’Wife, who is married to Kathy’s cousin Joe Gorga, touched on her falling out with Kathy and expressed interest in mending fences — especially now that they’re neighbors.
“They are building a house diagonal from me, across the street. On my street, literally,” Melissa told Jeff. “It’s funny. Everyone moves to my street… I secretly hope Joe and Kathy are walking down the street one day and bump into each other. Because at the end of the day, Kathy’s a good person… He enjoyed Kathy. Kathy was a great cousin to him.”
