Marlo Hampton Mourns the Loss of Her Brother After He Suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury
"We shared a bond that cannot be explained," The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Marlo Hampton shared.
Marlo Hampton is mourning the loss of her younger brother Curtis after he recently suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Curtis passed away on the morning of Saturday, March 2, Marlo shared in a post on Instagram the day after his death. "Thank you to all my family, friends and [fans] #theHamptons for all your love and prayers," Marlo wrote in a post that featured a couple of throwback photos of her brother. "Yesterday at 6:04 am God decided he wanted my lil brother home with him."
Marlo then went on to share how she will always remember her brother. "Curtis I [love] you more than words could ever say, we shared a bond that cannot be explained. Don’t worry about me, your big sis is going to turn up Memphis style for you 'Mannnnn.' I’m going to listen to T-Pain, Goodie Mob, DMX, 8Ball [and] MJG and drink an Olde English 800 Curtis style, even though you know I don’t like beer! I just want to feel close to you," she wrote in the post. "Save me a blinged out bed, pillow, cloud or something next to you in heaven Curtis. I will miss you so so much."
Marlo has received lots of love from The Real Housewives of Atlanta family, who shared their condolences in the comments to her Instagram post announcing her brother's passing. Kandi Burruss, Shamari DeVoe, Cynthia Bailey, Tanya Sam, and Nene Leakes' husband Gregg Leakes all showed their support for their friend.
Marlo first shared the news of Curtis' injury on Instagram on February 27. "Curtis, lil bro, I love you so much, since the day you were born you’ve been so special to me, life’s trials and tribulations caused us to drift apart from time to time, I tried my best to protect you and help/give/teach some of the things we missed out on during our childhood, still we share so many good memories and unconditional love for one another," she wrote in the post that also featured several vintage photos of herself with her brother. "Right now I am praying to God for a miracle over your body, keep fighting, no doctor, only the Lord has the final say."
Marlo also showed that she was trying to stay strong during this difficult time in her Instagram Story last week. "I love you, Hamptons, pray for me, pray for my family. We're going through a lot right now," Marlo said. "But guess what? The sun is still shining, and God doesn't make any mistakes. What's meant to be will be."
