Lala Kent Reveals New Information About Her Second Pregnancy: "It Just Didn't Seem Real"
The Vanderpump Rules cast member shared how she found out she was pregnant, and how she told her daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett.
Now that the cat is out of the bag regarding Lala Kent's pregnancy with Baby No. 2, she's revealing everything about her first trimester.
During the March 4 episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala, theVanderpump Rules cast member shared all of the latest details surrounding her pregnancy, including how she found out, and how she told her nearest and dearest about the exciting news.

When Lala Kent Found Out that She Was Pregnant
Though Lala only announced the exciting news on Instagram on March 3, the former SUR hostess has known since late 2023.
"I found out on December 22. We were going to head to Palm Springs on the 23rd for Christmas," she said, before noting that, because she did IUI, people were asking her for a lot of updates.
"With mine, it was like, 'I'm going in for my IUI, because I got a donor, and, so people who I would tell 'I'm going in for my first IUI,' would actively text me the next day, 'When do you find out if it took?' So I had people actively asking me, 'Are you pregnant? Are you pregnant? Are you pregnant?'" she explained. "And it's so weird the first trimester, because it's kind of touch and go, you don't know what's going to happen, and you just want to make sure that that part you kind of complete..."
Though Lala wanted to wait until she got to Palm Springs to take her pregnancy test, because it's a "beautiful, zen place," she didn't want to potentially find out bad news there. When she took the test and it said positive, Lala shared that her first reaction was, "Oh my, God, that was really fast, and I'm tripping."
How Lala Kent Told Her Friends and Family About Her Pregnancy
She decided to tell her mom, Lisa, and her brother, Easton, about the exciting news in Palm Springs, but when she saw them both just a few minutes after she took the test, she couldn't keep the news in.
"Then, it just didn't seem real, so I just kept taking all of the pregnancy tests..." Lala added. "Even my fertility doctor joked, 'I feel like this was more like a meet-and-greet.' It was so fast."
After she found out the exciting news, Lala continued to tell people in her inner circle. However, she noted that she was surprised that the news didn't leak earlier, because she ended up divulging her secret to a lot of people.
"I told Dakota Fanning," Lala said about the actress, who attended the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere party on January 17. "She's a bad bitch, man."
Does Lala Kent Know the Sex of Her Baby?
On her podcast, Lala confirmed that she has not yet found out the sex of Baby No. 2.
"I don't know the gender yet," she said, though she does have her suspicions about the sex.
"In a way, I kind of feel like it's a girl because I heard girls steal your beauty, and I look busted as f-ck," Lala joked.

The Give Them Lala author also opened up about how she told her daughter about her pregnancy.
"Ocean knows. I didn't really tell her in some big way," Lala said on her podcast. "She wanted to sit on me or something, and I said, 'OK, well you have to be really careful, because guess what? Mama has a baby in her belly.' She goes, 'You have a baby in your belly?' I say, 'Yeah.' She goes, 'Well, let me see. Let me see.'"
Lala has confidence that Ocean will be a great older sister. "I think she's going to be so good with this baby, though," she said.
Lala Kent Opens Up About Using IUI to Conceive Her Second Baby
As Lala previously told Cosmopolitan in January 2024, she decided to use intrauterine insemination to conceive her second child. When she was in the process of selecting her eventual sperm donor, Lala was able to look at a questionnaire that he filled out.
"I have to say, looks were probably lowest on the totem pole for me, and I hate to say it, but I also didn't need them to be extremely smart, because I'm not..." she said, before revealing how she reacted when she saw her donor. "I just knew."
She was drawn to the fact that he had picked a lion as his favorite animal, and that his favorite poem had to do with the ocean. She didn't want to see any adult photos of the donor, and this donor chose not to share any.
Once Lala made her selection, she did one round of IUI. After conceiving Babt No. 2 on the second try, Lala reflected on the experience.
"This has been the craziest 14 weeks ever," she said.
