Kristen Taekman Just Revealed an Exciting Update on Her Family Today
The RHONY alum and RHUGT mom was completely thrilled by her teenage son's sweet gesture.
Congratulations go out to Kristen Taekman who recently secured a major momma win.
As she prepared to board a flight to the Big Apple, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip mom took to Instagram to share an adorable update on her family life. Kristen, who currently resides in Los Angeles, posted a video of her commute to the airport and revealed the precious goodbye she received from her oldest child.
The clip showed The Real Housewives of New York City alum sitting in the backseat of a car as she lip-synced a funny exchange from this year’s Barbie flick: “She even asked me for the time,” Ryan Gosling’s Ken was heard saying.
“No way,” Simu Liu’s Ken replied.
“Way,” Ryan’s character said.
Kristen concluded the clip with a victorious fist bump.
“When my 15 year old son gives me a hug and says he will miss me while I’m in NYC,” she wrote in the October 17 post. “It’s the little things guys.”

Kristen shares her teenage son, Cassius, with her husband of 18 years, Josh Taekman. The couple celebrated their boy’s birthday back in June by sharing sweet photos and heartwarming tribute messages.
“Happy 15th Birthday [Cassius],” Kristen wrote in a June 18 post. “I am so proud of you and the person you are becoming. You are kind, generous and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. Love you!”
Josh echoed his wife and shared a series of photos taken throughout their son’s childhood.
“Wishing the sweetest, most thoughtful, and adventurous young man a day filled with joy and excitement,” he wrote. “Your heart of gold and limitless potential are truly inspiring. May this year bring you countless amazing opportunities to shine and thrive. Enjoy your special day to the fullest! We love you and couldn’t be more proud of the young man you are.”
Kristen and Josh also share a daughter named Kingsley, who turned 11 at the top of the year. The parents also gushed over the tween in separate birthday posts that included cute photos of the little girl.
“Nothing lights up my world more than you Kingsley,” Josh captioned a January 24 Instagram. “Wishing you the happiest birthday ever and can’t believe your 11yrs old and wise beyond your years with a big heart, a true passion for learning and adventure. We [love] you with all our heart and couldn’t be more proud of the young woman you have become.”

Several months after Kingsley's birthday, Josh posted another sweet message in honor of Kristen’s special day. The EBOOST founder shared a photo of him and his wife posing on a date night, along with the following caption:
“Happy birthday to the most amazing wife and mother in the world!” he wrote in the April 21 post. “You are the light of our lives, and we are so grateful for all the love and care you shower upon us each day. You truly are the glue that holds our family together, and we appreciate all the sacrifices you make to ensure our happiness and well-being we [love] you.”
What's next for Kristen Taekman?
Kristen was in NYC to film some interviews for the upcoming season of RHUGT, aka RHONY: Legacy. The Cali mom will be joined by fellow RHONY alumni Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer. RHUGT Season 4 will premiere this December on Bravo.
