Kim Zolciak-Biermann's Psychic Rose Has Passed Away
The psychic, who the Biermanns lovingly referred to as Grandma Rose, appeared on RHOA and Don't Be Tardy.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann's beloved psychic Rose has passed away.
The Don't Be Tardy matriarch confirmed the sad news in a post on Instagram on June 6, which paid tribute to her late loved one. "It is with a very heavy heart I share this heartbreaking news. I (We) lost our Grandma Rose yesterday," Kim wrote in a post that featured a collection of photos of her family with Rose over the years. "Most of you know her from RHOA/Don't Be Tardy as 'Psychic Rose.' She has been a huge part of my [family's] life for over 20 years."
Viewers first met Rose during Kim's time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and she continued to visit the psychic over the years on Don't Be Tardy. In Season 2 of Don't Be Tardy, Rose memorably predicted that Kim would have another girl before she and husband Kroy Biermann welcomed twins Kane and Kaia, whose middle name was also inspired by Rose, in 2013. As the seasons went on, Kim and the whole Biermann family would often seek guidance from Rose whenever they felt any uncertainty in their lives.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in November 2020, Kim updated fans on Rose, sharing that she had been undergoing chemotherapy and was "doing great." "She moved in with her daughter, which was a big move for her because she's very independent," Kim said at the time. "So she's living with her daughter, eating, enjoying life, so she's actually doing pretty good."
Kim shared the impact Rose has had on her and the entire Biermann family over the years in her Instagram tribute. "Rose is one of the most incredible people I have EVER met and I just can’t imagine our life without her. She was full of so much wisdom and was one of the feistiest people I have ever met! She took me under her wing and never once wavered from my side," Kim wrote. "I named 'Kaia Rose' after her and they even share the same birthday."
"I love you Grandma Rose. My heart is so broken," Kim concluded the post. "Until we meet again."
In addition to familiar faces like Shereé Whitfield and stylist Shun Melson sending Kim their condolences in the comments section of the Instagram post, Chef Tracey Bloom also shared her fondest memories of Rose. "She was an Incredible truth teller even when it was hard to hear. An opinion giver too. A huge impact on your entire family and fans as well," Tracey wrote to Kim in the comments. "She will be missed so much Kim but she will always be in your ear guiding you. I love you."
Along with commenting on her mom's Instagram post, Ariana Biermann also honored Rose in her Instagram Story. "Our forever angel," Ariana captioned a photo of Rose with siblings KJ, Kash, Kane, and Kaia. "I love you forever Grandma Rose."
Kim later showed her gratitude for all of the love and support she has received during this difficult time. "Thank you all for your sweet comments and prayers," she wrote in her Instagram Story. "I love you guys."
