Jacqueline Laurita Shares Something "Pretty Amazing" About Her Son Nicholas
The RHONJ alum revealed the progress Nicholas has been making in his communication.
Jacqueline Laurita's youngest son, Nicholas Laurita, is making major strides. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum, who shares sons Christopher "CJ" and Nicholas with her husband Chris Laurita (Jacqueline also has a daughter Ashlee Holmes with her first husband), offered up a special update on her son's writing and spelling progress on Instagram on August 12.
Jacqueline, who has been open about Nicholas' journey with autism, took to Instagram to reveal that her teen has been working with a facilitator to type out messages on a keyboard via S2C (Spelling2Communicate). One prompt Nicholas responded to read, "In your own words, what does it mean for someone or something to prevail."
"Them trying to succeed against all obstacles," Nicholas helped type back.
In another Instagram Story, Jacqueline shared a photo of another one of Nicholas' responses. In the caption, she wrote, "This is a question Nicholas typed the answer to during an [S2C] session yesterday. Pretty amazing, isn't it?"
Jacqueline opened up about why the program works for her on Instagram. "He can verbally ask for all his needs," she shared. "He can answer some questions[,] but he’s but not fully conversational..."

Just a few days before Jacqueline shared her son's communication progress, she shared a video of her family enjoying some time in Huntington Beach (Jacqueline, Chris, and Nicholas relocated to Orange County in 2023 after years in Las Vegas).
The Instagram video featured highlights of the family checking out some shops, and Nicholas posing for photos.
"Nick had a great time checking out Old World Village in Huntington Beach today with Nana, Grandpa, [Chris Laurita], and I!" she wrote in the caption of her video. "He especially loved the Schnitzel and the German candy! He was such a good boy there! He loves an adventure and his weekend drives."
Earlier on in the summer, Jacqueline and Chris took Nicholas and CJ to Universal Studios to enjoy some rides.
"Chris and I took our boys to Universal Studios Hollywood and had such a great time! I had some anxiety worrying about how Nick would be there, but he was EXCELLENT!" Jacqueline shared. "He was so patient waiting for the rides and for food and a trooper with all the walking we did. We were all so proud of him..."
