Is MJ Javid's Fiancé with Her for the Right Reasons? Reza Farahan Weighs In
The #Shahs pal shares his thoughts on the newly engaged couple.
It may have been love at first swipe for Mercedes “MJ” Javid and her fiancé Tommy Feight, but one of her Shahs of Sunset pals can't help but air his skepticism about the pair. The couple met online and announced their engagement in January, and he's since popped up this season on Shahs. While MJ has confirmed that she has yet to set a wedding date, Reza Farahan hopes that before she says "I do," she understands Tommy's true intentions.
"So I am very happy for her. I hope that it turns out exactly the way she wants it to," Reza told The Daily Dish. "My only issue with meeting someone when you are in the public eye like MJ is — she was on a show and she met her man while she was on a show. For me, I would always in the back of my mind be thinking if I wasn't on a show [would he want to be with me?]. Like, is he with me for these weird reasons or is he with me just for me?"
While Reza shared that Tommy hasn't exactly done anything to raise any red flags, he still has some concerns. "I'm a little skeptical, but I hope it works out for them," he said. "I also haven't spent an excessive amount of time with him."
In addition to Reza, MJ's mom, Vida, has been open about her lukewarm feelings for Tommy. However, the couple insists that she's coming around to him (as you can see in the clip above). MJ previously told The Daily Dish that while Vida "tolerates him," she also has some issues with Tommy. "She's so suspicious of him," MJ said. "He went to get a sandwich before we boarded the plane and she's like, 'What do you think he's doing? I'm sure he's texting some other woman.' And I was like, 'Ugh, I'm just exhausted. I'm not even going to defend him.'"
