Shep Rose and His *Entire* Family Are On a Dreamy Vacation in Italy (PICS)
The Southern Charm cast member has traded the coast of South Carolina for the coast of southern Italy.
Goodbye South Carolina, hello southern Italy — Shep Rose has officially arrived.
The Southern Charm cast member has temporarily traded his southern roots to get in touch with his Italian side while on vacation in Italy. The Charleston resident is currently on a family trip in the country of love and pasta, where he has been updating his Instagram followers with all of his adventures.
Over the past week, Shep has taken to his Instagram Story, where he has posted so many photos documenting his time in Italy. Shep revealed that he's been hanging on the island of Capri, going boating with his siblings, and dining on the local cuisine.
Shep even got to meet the locals, including a dog who looks a lot like his own French bulldog, Lil' Craig. "Italian bulldog," he wrote over the photo of him holding the local pup. "You better believe I showed the owner Lil' Craig."
Who are Shep Rose's family members?
On this trip, he has been spending a lot of quality time with his "lovely, kind, and smarter than all of us" sister, Katie — a lawyer who lives in Charlotte with her family — and her children. In one post to his Instagram Story, Shep introduced his followers to his niece who has some big aspirations.
"My little niece, Boo," he wrote over the picture of her in his arms. "She's told me on Saturday she wants to live in Hollywood and then today she wants to go to Purdue and be an engineer."

Although Shep might seem purely southern to some, he actually has a large history with Italy. In an Instagram post from August 2022, Shep wrote that his dad, William, "spent his formative years in Genoa, Italy."
"He speaks fluently (which is impressive but also annoying when he flaunts it at Italian restaurants with the owner)," he wrote in the caption of the post. "Over the years, our family has taken many trips there and it's one of my favorite countries in the world."
What's next for Shep Rose? He Says...
In late June, weeks before his Italian vacation, Shep took to his Instagram Story, where he revealed that he was spending his weekend "writing away." "Really excited about this project," he added. "Think it's a good thing when you're typing and laughing."
Although he did not disclose about what this project might entail, he got in all of his work before heading out of the country. In addition to Italy, Shep told his Instagram followers that he would also be making a stop in London. Look out world, here comes Shep.
