Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi Opens up About Giving Birth During the Coronavirus Pandemic
The Shahs of Sunset mom got real about her experience, and her future as a single mom.
Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi’s baby boy, Elijah, is finally here! GG welcomed the newest member of the Shahs of Sunset family to the world on April 27. Now, she’s opening up about what it was like to give birth amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In an April 29 Instagram post, GG shared an adorable photo of Elijah with an honest message about what is to come for the mother-son pair.
“Having a baby during this unfortunate pandemic is hard, but it’s nothing compared to the many obstacles which lie ahead of me,” GG wrote. “It was definitely a bit scary to be in the hospital knowing this extremely contagious virus is all around, but it’s also scary that I don’t have all of the answers to give my son when he asks me certain questions like, ‘Who is my dad?’”
She then went on to explain that her rheumatoid arthritis will make motherhood more challenging. “It’s scary that after holding him for just 10 minutes, my arms and hands go numb because of my rheumatoid arthritis and it makes it so painful for me to cuddle my baby all day.”
Finally, GG opened up about what lies ahead of her in her new life as a single mother.
“It’s scary that I will have to play the role of two parents and teach a boy how to become a man when I know nothing about it myself. There are a million obstacles which lie ahead of me and baby Elijah, but I honestly wouldn’t trade any of it for the world! He is so special to me and I completely submit my entire self to him for as long as my heart beats...because now it only beats for him!”
