Dr. Nicole Martin Reflects on the Passing of Her Father: "We Were in the Best Place"
The RHOM anesthesiologist opened up about her late father, Miguel Martin II, months after his passing on Part 2 of the Season 6 reunion.
Dr. Nicole Martin is opening up about the loss of her father, Miguel Martin II, who passed away last year. The Real Housewives of Miami cast member shared the heartbreaking news in the fall of 2023 in a sweet tribute to her dad on social media.
"I haven’t been able to find the words and still can’t," Nicole captioned a tribute with photos of her and her father from over the years. "Everything happened so fast and it still doesn’t seem real. Part of me is still waiting for one of your crazy phone calls. So many things left unsaid and moments we didn’t share."
Now, months after Miguel’s death, Nicole is reflecting on her father and sharing where their relationship stood before he passed away.

Dr. Nicole Martin reflects on the loss of her father, Miguel
On Part 2 of the RHOM Season 6 reunion, which aired on February 29, Nicole revealed that her father passed away “unexpectedly” after host Andy Cohen expressed his condolences.
“Very unexpectedly – It was actually a couple days after BravoCon,” she explained. “I was still in Vegas when I got the phone call.”
Although Nicole was out of town when her dad died, she did note that he was aware of her second pregnancy, saying, “We did tell him that we were expecting a baby girl, so he knew that and was very excited about that.”
Shortly after, the RHOM ‘Wives and Andy watched a segment dedicated to Nicole’s father, causing her to get emotional. Naturally, the ladies all rallied in support of Nicole by sharing positive words about her father.
“Your dad had a great life,” Larsa Pippen told Nicole, while Kiki Barth said, “I’m glad I got to know him.”
Dr. Nicole Martin is “thankful” for RHOM improving her relationship with her father
Nicole then acknowledged how her pregnancy and her father’s death were “very serendipitous” before mentioning how she was “thankful” for the show allowing them to reconnect.
“[The show] really did put me in a situation where I had to face the issues that I had with my dad,” she said. “I think had I not been on the show, I probably would’ve just swept those issues under the wrong and never addressed them, and so I am really thankful for the opportunity to have like address those issues and have uncomfortable conversations with him.”
Nicole concluded: “I feel like we were in the best place that we could be when he passed, so I’m thankful for that.”
Dr. Nicole Martin's update on her late father’s girlfriend and other children
During Nicole’s candid discussion, she provided an update on Miguel’s former girlfriend after Kiki asked if they were still in contact.
“So, when my dad passed away… we kind of started doing all the legal financial things, and we realized he had been paying for her apartment and that he had been paying for her car,” Nicole shared. She continued to explain how things between her and her dad’s ex didn’t “go so well” when discovering there was no “will or trust.”
Nicole also mentioned how she never met her “two younger” siblings, that her dad informed her about on Season 6, Episode 8 of RHOM. “I don’t know who their moms are [and] I don’t know where they are,” she told Andy.
