Dolores Catania Reveals the "Pretty Amazing" Journey She's Going on with Daughter Gabby
Plus, the RHONJ cast member gets real about motherhood ahead of Mother's Day as well as her friendships.
Summer 2024 is already shaping up to be a “pretty amazing” one – especially for Dolores Catania and her daughter, Gabby Catania. Most recently, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member gave the scoop on her upcoming travel plans with her eldest child, which may include spending a lot of time outdoors.

In a recent interview with BravoTV.com, Dolores shared that she and Gabby will embark on an international trip that involves getting up close with some special creatures. “My plans for the summer are pretty amazing; I’m going to Africa with my daughter Gabby to work on Rhinos,” she said.
What does Gabby Catania do for work?
As Bravo fans know, Gabby works as a veterinarian. On Season 13, Episode 14 of RHONJ, Dolores opened up about her daughter’s incredible career. "[At] 3 years old, [Gabby] said 'I'm going to be a dog doctor,'” she explained. Of course, her wish came true as she is now a doctor to many animals.
In September 2023, Dolores gave a glimpse to her followers on social media of Gabby hard at work in a video as she snuggled up with a dog. She captioned the post: “In case [you're] wondering what Dr. Gabby is doing with your pet while she is treating them ... her compassion is unsurpassed.”

Dolores Catania’s “best lesson” about motherhood
Gabby isn’t the only child of Dolores and her ex-husband, Frank Catania – the two also share a son, Frankie Catania. The RHONJ ‘Wife revealed some of her favorite parenting “lessons” she learned from her mother.
“The best lesson I learned from my mom is to discipline, but sometimes patience is needed more,” she explained to BravoTV.com. “So don’t’ always get so mad at the kids because sometimes they’re just venting, and you have to let them.”
Dolores didn’t just drop some words of wisdom on motherhood. She also shared insight on how she’s able to maintain healthy friendships with the cast of RHONJ even though all the ladies aren’t in a good place.
“There’s so much drama in my life, and the one thing I want to set the record straight on,” she began, adding, “It's not that I’m Switzerland it’s just that I’m smart.”
Dolores' remarks were a witty play on her Season 14 tagline: I’m a girl from Paterson, playing Switzerland, and dating an Irish man.
When it was time for her to speak on her goals for the rest of the year, Dolores shared she wants to be as “healthy and peaceful as she can.”
