Did Brandi Redmond Adopt Another Baby? The Dallas Housewife Gives Update on Bruin's Sibling
The Real Housewives of Dallas mom had some news to share at the Season 4 reunion.
Brandi Redmond had a big decision to make this season of The Real Housewives of Dallas. She found out the biological mother of her adopted son, Bruin, was pregnant again and was planning on giving the baby to the state. Though things were still in the "preliminary" stages at the time, Brandi said that she was seriously considering adopting Bruin's sibling.
At the end of the RHOD Season 4 finale, in which Brandi threw a party to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Bruin's adoption, an update appeared on the screen saying, "Brandi and [her husband] Bryan have still not made a decision about adopting Bruin's sibling."
Brandi had some news to share about the potential adoption at the beginning of Part 1 of the RHOD Season 4 reunion on January 1. "Well, unfortunately, she lost the baby," Brandi said while getting choked up. "I took it pretty hard just 'cause I think emotionally and physically my family was prepared to take it on, but she lost the baby."
When Brandi discussed the possibility of growing her family (she is also mom to daughters Brooklyn and Brinkley) with her husband earlier this season, Bryan seemed hesitant to add another little one to his brood because his wife has expressed feeling overwhelmed while taking care of three kids. "To get Bryan on board to adopt another baby, it would have to be to convince him that I can handle it all. Never complaining, just sucking it up, even when I'm miserable. I can do this, people. I can do this!" Brandi said in an interview in the episode. "As hard as it is to take on a newborn baby and just all the different changes and stuff, I feel like in the end it would be worth it."
Adopting Bruin has been more than worth it for Brandi and her family. "Bruin has been one of the biggest blessings in our family, and he's brought so much love and joy. He is the piece of our family that we never knew was missing until he became a part of it," she said during an interview in the RHOD Season 4 finale. "You never know what's out there in life unless you open yourself up to it, and I think that's been the biggest gift and blessing that he's given all of us."
