Denise Richards Says She "Didn't Feel Very Welcomed" During the RHOBH Santa Barbara Trip
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member explains her attitude during the getaway.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies' trip to Santa Barbara got off to a rocky start for Denise Richards.
Not long after Denise arrived for the girls' getaway, the subject quickly turned to the mature discussion the group had with kids present during her dinner party earlier this season. She again emphasized how she felt like it was inappropriate to have that conversation at that time and said that it "affected" her daughter Sami.
Denise ultimately ended up shutting this discussion with the RHOBH squad down. "I don't want to get into this anymore," she said during the dinner in Santa Barbara. "It's not that big of a deal."
Denise seemed to be prepared for a difficult episode as she got ready to watch the latest installment of RHOBH prior to its airing on May 27, sharing a screenshot on Instagram from her dinner party earlier this season that seems to say it all.
She also opened up more about why she was short with the RHOBH crew in the comments to her post on Instagram. "I was tired when I showed up to Santa Barbara, worked on [The Bold and the Beautiful and] 3 weeks after my surgery," she explained. "I also felt the energy that they were talking about me before I got there. Didn't feel very welcomed."
Denise had more to say about the episode as it aired, tweeting her reaction to a comment Erika Girardi made before she arrived at the wine tasting. "Heard this for the first time while watching the show," Denise tweeted. "Beyond inappropriate."
Denise also responded to a fan who thought it was "very naive" of her to think her children haven't seen her movie Wild Things, as she noted during the episode. "Why would my children watch that movie?!?" Denise tweeted. "I would never want to watch my mother in a movie like that."
Erika also shared her thoughts on the drama with Denise on Twitter, agreeing with a fan who felt like she wasn't being truthful with the Beverly Hills Housewives about her daughter's reaction to their conversation and pointing out that Denise has also made similar comments in the past, like when she talked about happy endings in Season 9.
