Here's How Denise Richards Reacted When She Watched Kyle Richards Call Her a "Ragamuffin"

The women of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have certainly had some interesting ways of describing one another over the years, but one word in particular has brought a lot of buzz as of late.

Kyle Richards called Denise Richards a "ragamuffin" as an aside to Sutton Stracke while at Denise's house in the May 6 episode of RHOBH. She uttered the word again as the dinner party drama continued in the May 13 episode, and she made an emotional exit from the festivities.

But Denise actually had no idea Kyle made this comment until she watched the episode at home, just like everyone else. "I didn't know she had called me a 'ragamuffin' until I saw the episode," Denise said during her May 13 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home (clip above). "I actually thought it was funny."

Denise previously had a playful response to Kyle's "ragamuffin" comment when she showed off many of her glamorous looks on the covers of magazines over the years on Instagram on May 8. Kyle showed remorse for calling Denise that name in the comments to the post. "Denise, you are absolutely beautiful. There is no doubt about that. I was exhausted, emotional [and] felt everyone was coming at me. I got upset because I thought you of all people would get what I was saying because you yourself say you don't get the glam thing and just wear a messy top knot. So I didn't get the sudden change," Kyle explained. "With that said, I still regret that comment and was not the best version of myself that night. My apologies."

Kyle had also shared on Twitter that it was a word her mother, Kathleen Richards, had used. "My mom used to call me that when I looked messy. She would say 'don't run around like a ragamuffin,'" Kyle tweeted on May 6. "Doesn't make it right that I said that. Not nice."

Kyle and Denise had plenty of other drama in the most recent episode of RHOBH. When Denise asked Kyle why she thought they were all being "fake ass bitches," Kyle cited Denise herself as an example, noting her glam and diamond ice sculpture at her party when she had previously seemed to be more low-key.

Denise also shared her reaction to those remarks during her appearance on WWHL: @ Home. "The other comments, like the ice sculpture and stuff, I just think it's good to not be so judgmental with all of us and just have fun with it," she said. "Yes, I do like to be casual, but I also do like glam as well. It is what it is."

Kyle also responded to some of what she heard Denise say during the episode as she live tweeted on May 13. For instance, Denise told Erika Girardi that Kyle was the only one who didn't reply to her text thanking everyone for coming to her house. "I didn’t respond because it felt like everybody intentionally came at me," Kyle said. "I didn’t want to write a fake text saying thank you for a lovely evening."

She also clapped back at Denise's shade over Kyle planning a celebratory overnight in Santa Barbara with the ladies. "I don’t need a medal for parenting and working Denise," Kyle tweeted. "Just inviting the ladies away for some fun and maybe reconnecting."
