Daisy Kelliher Has a Hilarious Response Discovering Season 5's Chef is 22 Years Old (VIDEO)
Daisy Kelliher couldn't contain her shock after finding out her new coworker on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 is just 22 years old.
When a new season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht comes around, it's important to take ample time to meet the new crew. Today, it's time to get to know Chef Cloyce Martin ... and what you'll learn might shock you as much as it did Daisy Kelliher.
In the above preview for Season 5, Episode 1 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht — set to air tonight, Oct. 7 — Daisy and Cloyce meet for a pre-season chat in the galley. After asking the chef about his experience, Daisy learns that this will be his third full season working on a boat.
"The sailing will be an interesting element," he notes, confirming that he's always happy presenting his food and speaking about what he's created.
"How old are you?" Daisy then asks, to which he responds, "22."
"Oh! OK!" says a surprised Daisy.
In a confessional, she shares more of her thoughts on the chef's youthfulness: "Oh my God, he's 22. You know, it's young. It's not a lot of experience. Not a lot of life experience."
Naturally, Cloyce has an argument ready.
"When people find out that I'm 22 years old, do I think that freaks them out a bit? Yeah," he says. "My age is 100 percent unrelated to my capabilities. Women specifically, I find women my age to be ... not what I'm looking for."
Who is Chef Cloyce Martin?
The 22-year-old chef is a Below Deck Sailing Yacht franchise first-timer, but he's already making an impression.
In the preview of the Season 5 premiere, Cloyce is also nice enough to offer his services to the stewardesses if they're behind and he's not. If they're ever stressed out, he's sure he can fold towels or something of the sort to ease their burden.
"You're confident," says Daisy.
But will a confident chef translate into a successful chef? According to a press release for Season 5, Cloyce might run into trouble this season.
"In the galley, Chef Cloyce charms the crew and guests but at only 22, he may be too inexperienced to meet the demands of the high-maintenance charter guests," it reads.

Season 5 of the this-time-Ibiza-set series premieres on Monday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. You can stream episodes the next day on Peacock.
