Daisy Kelliher Declares War on Chef Cloyce Martin: “F-cking Own It”
Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Daisy Kelliher and Chef Cloyce Martin are majorly clashing on Season 5.
Daisy Kelliher and chef Cloyce Martin are continuing to encounter mealtime drama on Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
On Episode 3 (which aired Oct. 21), Daisy and Cloyce had yet another mishap — this time, it occurred during the first dinner of charter two when they miscommunicated about plates being cleared ... leaving the guests waiting on their dessert.
Although Daisy told the chef that they were clearing, he didn't think to start plating the next course. The bigger problem? The bread and butter pudding that was being served still needed to be heated up — an eight minute process.
"You can tell him if he wants to start plating he can," Daisy told deckhand Emma Crouch while going about her chief stewardess duties ... only to hear that the treat still needed to be warmed. "What the f-ck?" she said.
Once he saw Daisy in person, the chef confirmed that they were clear to go. "Yeah. We were clear a while ago. I thought Emma came down to tell you?" Daisy responded.
According to the chef, "clear" doesn't just mean the table was emptied. It also means they're in the clear to go.
"It's kind of just not how things work. Deckhands should be completely removed from the scenario. I need Daisy to come on the radio and say, 'Hey, we're clear,'" he explained in a confessional.
Off on her own, Daisy whispered that she and the chef were "gonna fight."
"I'm like, 'Is dessert nearly ready?' And he's like, 'Oh, have you cleared?' I was like, 'What the f-ck? I told you I cleared.' I'm on your side. Don't f-cking start throwing me under the bus. That was the second service he's tried throwing me under the bus," she said.
In a confessional, Daisy also shared a message straight to the chef: "A: Where did you think all these big giant plates came from? And B: Communication works both ways. You have a radio. Ask me. Cloyce, back the f-ck off. Do not think that I'm going to be taking this sh-t. F-cking own it."
How did the Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guests react to Chef Cloyce's delayed dessert?
Amid Daisy and Cloyce's dishes drama, the charter guests patiently waited for their dessert, eager to get on with their night.
"Maybe there's not a dessert?" one said after a bit. Still, they kept waiting.
However, after 17 minutes, the pudding still hadn't made its way to the table.
"OK, so two hours later..." said a guest.
And then, at last, it arrived. Luckily, they thought it was delicious.
How did Captain Glenn Shephard react to Cloyce's delayed dessert?
After dessert was served, Captain Glenn Shephard asked Daisy if the way things went was OK. Then, he told her, "Keep an eye on it. If you see anything else, I think I'll let you speak with him before I say anything. I don't want to damage his confidence."
The captain also had some qualms about the interdepartmental workings earlier in the season.
"If tonight is any indication of Cloyce and Daisy's inter-departmental relationship, what I'm seeing now has got me worried," he said on the season premiere.
