Christian Siriano Just Bought His Mom a Stunning House "Filled with Love" (DETAILS)
Project Runway's Christian Siriano completely transformed a historic home for his mom, Joye Siriano.
Project Runway's Christian Siriano has completed his best collaboration yet — with his mom Joye Siriano. The fashion designer took to Instagram where he revealed that he bought his mom a house and helped with the renovation and design process with his company, Siriano Interiors.
Christian posted a series of photos of the Richmond, Virginia home to his Instagram Feed on September 16. Photos captured Christian standing outside of the house, in addition to capturing the dramatic marble kitchen, grand white entryway, serene sitting room, and black marble bathroom. The house is classic, with pops of amazing art and color, making it such a gorgeous, eye-catching space.
Christian took to the caption of the post, where he revealed that the home was built in 1908, but he helped bring it "back to life" with Siriano Interiors for his family. "MOM got a house and I used to sleep in a closet!" he exclaimed.
In another post to his feed, Christian showed off more views of the stunning home, including the beautifully tiled porch, black and white bedroom, and living space covered in colorful artwork. "Mom got a new house filled with love and she gets to sit on this side porch every day and relax," he wrote in the caption of the post.
Christian Siriano says mom Joye Siriano was his "hardest client"
Although Christian has dressed so many iconic celebrities, his collaboration with his mom might be his best yet. But also his hardest collaboration, too. In an interview with Architectural Digest about the home, the fashion designer spilled all the beans on what it was like to work with the woman who raised him.
"She was probably the hardest client we've ever had," he said, laughing.
Although his mom was just a little picky with designing the home, Christian told the publication that it was all worth it in the end. "It's amazing to be able to do something like this for your mom," he explained. "To give her a beautiful home where she can be comfortable and happy."
"Both fireplaces collapsed, we had no heat for six months, and the kitchen flooded the day before my mom moved in," Christian continued. "But seeing her reaction made it all worth it."
