Here's Your Chance to Make Your Home as Glamorous as Caroline Stanbury's
The #LadiesOfLondon fashionista had some surprising inspiration for her new furniture collection.
As Caroline Stanbury got ready to move from London to Dubai, she wasn't just getting a new home; she also made a brand-new business for herself. The Ladies of London mom recently collaborated on an ultra-feminine and ultra-chic new furniture line called ECmyLIFE.
Caroline recently told The Daily Dish that she was inspired to start her own furniture line while designing her own home in Dubai. "It surprised me. When I was moving here, I didn’t want to buy massively expensive furniture," Caroline explained. "Other than IKEA and designer, there wasn’t much in the middle. I wanted to make my own line that was mid-range, affordable but beautiful. We designed all the pieces, and here we are."
Caroline's collection includes pieces fit for any modern home, from dining chairs to side tables to chaise lounges to benches, all sleek and sophisticated while also looking totally comfy. The pieces get their names from Caroline's family and friends, such as the Cem Chaise, named after her husband, Cem Habib, or the Yasmine table, named after her daughter. "It’s named after everybody that I love. Luke’s to come," Caroline said of her makeup artist/bestie, Luke Henderson.
Though she may have English roots and is now embracing the Dubai life, Caroline said that she wanted her collection to give off American vibes. "I feel like it’s slightly retro, a little bit like L.A. People think Miami. I think it’s just L.A., very simple, just clean lines, very simple basics with pops of color," Caroline described.
Caroline said she has also put some high fashion into the collection, and she shares her inspiration through the furniture line's Instagram. "I think since my wardrobe is sometimes most important to the fans, I think it’s based on some of my old pieces and designs from previous collections, like the chair with the Chanel tweed and Tom Ford belts on the side table," she said. "These are just a lot of my favorite colors."
Your spring is about to get a whole lot brighter too, because Caroline said they've got even more new designs in the works. "It’s a very small collection, and we slowly plan to release it in March, but I just wanted you to have a feel for what people respond to, what people thought of it," she shared. "Right now, it’s really exciting, and people like it so much more than I thought or hoped."
With all of this fab furniture, here's hoping your home can look as amazing as Caroline's.
