Summer House's Carl Radke Says He Quit Drinking
The Summer House cast member says he's "trying to make right" after a difficult summer.
Carl Radke is making some changes to his lifestyle. The Summer House cast member recently revealed that he decided to quit drinking during an Instagram Live interview with Marshall Sandman on Spilling the QuaranTea.
Carl explained that he felt like he over imbibed over the summer as a way of coping with some of his personal issues. "I had a rough summer, had some relationships kind of fall through romantically. ” he said, also noting, "I think some of my behavior obviously helped that along,"
He described this season of Summer House as being “hard to watch,” also revealing that seeing his actions has since prompted him to make some changes. “I'm trying to make right, over the last few months. I've actually been sober,” he stated.
He went on to add, "So everybody listening or watching, Carl's making better choices."
As for how this change has impacted his job working for Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s sparkling hard tea brand, Loverboy, Carl says he’s still learning how to navigate his sobriety while working in the alcohol industry.
“It just made natural sense to be a part of it. I do love networking and talking to people. I've been really helpful, I think, to the brand,” he said. “But also, it's been really challenging with the alcohol stuff. I've been really learning about myself within the alcohol space."
