Brittany Cartwright Admits Her Son Cruz Was “Overwhelmed” When He First Filmed The Valley

Jax Taylor, meanwhile, said Cruz Cauchi did love one specific part of The Valley production.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are reality legends in their own right thanks to their time on Vanderpump Rules — and the pair is now adding a new family member to their television dynasty.

How to Watch

Watch The Valley on Peacock.

For the first time, their adorable son, Cruz Cauchi, made his Bravo debut on The Valley, airing Tuesdays at 9/8c. But while Cruz's parents are very comfortable in the reality TV environment, Cruz needed to warm up to the filming process, Brittany admitted on the red carpet event for The Valley.

Jax, however, had a different take on Cruz's filming experience. Here's what they had to say about Cruz appearing on The Valley.

How did Cruz Cauchi like filming for The Valley?

After a bit of a shaky start in front of the cameras, the pint-sized cutie soon settled right into the filming routine, according to his famous parents.

“I think like the first day we started filming, he was a little overwhelmed because there was like 10 people in our house with cameras, and sound and, you know, all the things,” Brittany told The Daily Dish at The Valley’s star-studded premiere.

Brittany — who has been making headlines herself after announcing her split from Jax last month — admitted her son may have had some tears that first day, something she said is “very rare” for the toddler, who will turn 3 next month, but he quickly adjusted to being in the spotlight.

“After that, he just like went right into it, like the rest of us,” Brittany said. “We forget that they are even there and, you know, it was fun.”

“He's the sweetest thing,” she added.

Jax echoed that there wasn’t “anything difficult” about filming with his mini-me.

What was Cruz Cauchi’s favorite part about filming?

According to the bar owner, his son “loved the camera guys” and the crew.

“He was always behind the camera watching the scenes when they do the playbacks and all that,” Jax explained. “He was more into the production part. He was sitting with the crew, he loved it. Craft services was probably his favorite thing.”

Even if Cruz doesn’t decide to take the reality star route like his parents, Jax said he is “super excited” to see his son’s television debut on the series.

“I mean, whether he likes it or not, he's on it,” Jax quipped. “I don't know, [if] it's something he's going to want to pursue one day.He can do whatever he wants, but at least this is something he can look back on and be like, ‘Oh my God, there's my douchebag dad.’”

What is The Valley about?

The Valley will feature Jax, Brittany and four other couplesas they trade bottle service in West Hollywood for baby bottles in the Valley all while they navigate bustling businesses, rocky relationships and feisty friendships,” according to the press release.

Jax promised a dramatic Season 1 that would be full of “changes” for the cast. In addition to the news that he and Brittany would be “taking time apart” to re-evaluate their relationship, Jesse and Michelle Saniei Lally confirmed last week that they were splitting up ahead of the series premiere.

“People are getting married, people are having kids, people are separating, people are getting divorced,” Jax told The Daily Dish of what fans can expect. “There’s a lot going on. Obviously a lot of this wasn’t planned.”
