Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor's son hit a major milestone

Brittany's adorable date with Cruz comes just a few days after she shared a major update on how he's been doing since she filed for divorce from Jax.

"He's the best swimmer in the world," she told E! News on October 1. "He's only three and he can go to the bottom of the deep end, get toys, come up. He can do flips in the water."

What's more, on the September 20 episode of her and Jax's podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, Brittany opened up about how much her son is growing.

"I feel like Cruz is really big for his age..." she said. "So he's always a lot taller than his classmates and his friends around his age...they think he's going to be really tall. And it's crazy because he just feels so big whenever I carry him. He takes up half my body. His little feet are dangling past my knees. It's just insane."

Are Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright married?

The Vanderpump Rules alums, who legally wed in June 2019, are currently estranged. Brittany announced their separation on the February 29 episode of their podcast, and she formally filed for divorce in August 2024. She cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split, per TMZ

Jax responded to Brittany's divorce filing on September 26, though he later clarified that he made "errors" when doing so via a statement from his rep.

"Jax and Brittany have already long resolved all matters related to custody of Cruz, and will continue to work together privately for the best interest of their son, which remains their overriding concern," Jax's rep said in a statement to The Daily Dish on October 3. "While Jax made errors in filling out forms that are usually done by trained legal professionals, those errors will be amended without delay."
