Natalya and Kyle’s Feud “Saddens” Captain Sandy
During the Season 7 reunion, Natalya and Kyle gave an update on their friendship — and revealed if they’ve unblocked each other online.
Motor yacht Home’s charter season may be over, but the drama on Below Deck Mediterranean certainly isn’t.
The crew members who appeared on Season 7 (except for Jason Gaskell and Natasha Webb) traded in their red polos for their best formal looks for the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen reunion on November 22.
During the reunion, viewers got an update on whether Natalya Scudder and Storm Smith were still exploring a romantic connection, how Kyle Viljoen’s post–charter season relationship with guest Frank went, and why Natasha decided to send a video message instead of appearing (virtually) with her crewmates.
They also found out the latest regarding Natalya and Kyle’s friendship or lack thereof.
On the reunion, Kyle apologized again to his fellow second stew for telling one of the charter guests that Natalya hadn’t cleaned the VIP suite. However, he noted that he “never [came] for [her] work standards” and never would. Natalya still didn’t feel like Kyle was taking “accountability” for his actions.
Captain Sandy Yawn weighed in, saying Natasha made a poor decision when she refused to name a second stew and a third stew. As a result, the hierarchy on the boat was always unclear, which led to more arguments between Kyle and Natalya.
“It saddens my heart to see them like this,” Captain Sandy said about Kyle and Natalya, making a bumping motion with her fists. “Because I know they love each other.”
Though the joint second stews didn’t see eye to eye on a few matters, they are in a better place now.
“We’re fine now. Like, we’re unblocked on Instagram now, and if I’m in New York, I’m sure we’ll catch up,” Natalya said.
Natalya’s social media move was news to Kyle, who exclaimed, “Wait, you unblocked me?!”
The two then tried to explain how their complicated dynamic works.
“I think the good thing about me and Kyle is we both get over things really quickly and we’re able to mend our friendship,” Natalya said. “Looking back at it, we had really amazing times, and I think it came down to stress, exhaustion, and maybe [Natasha] not stepping in. Her being too kind I think caused a lot of issues between me and Kyle, as she didn’t take leadership.”
Kyle said he also treats Natalya like she’s family.
“Natalya and I are the brother and sister of the season,” Kyle concluded. “We literally make up, break up, punch each other…”
For now, the former colleagues are friends — but as they said themselves, that can change in an instant.
