So, How Do Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen Feel About Their Below Deck Med Drama Today?
The Below Deck Med stews open up about their tensions during Season 7.
There has been plenty of drama aboard the Home on this season of Below Deck Mediterranean, and that has definitely been the case for Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen. The two stews have most certainly clashed over the course of their charters, with chief stew Natasha Webb often in the middle of the tension.
Natalya was recently on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and during a game of “Which Stew Do You Choose?” Andy Cohen asked her all about her ups and downs with her fellow yachties this season, “at the risk of creating more interior infighting.” Below, you can find out what she had to say about the twosome.
During her Clubhouse appearance, Natalya shared with a virtual fan a bit more about where she stands with Kyle today. “It has its ups and downs,” she said. “I currently have him blocked. It’s like brother and sister. Some stuff went down. We’ll see what happens. I get over things really quickly. So does he. So I’m sure if we saw each other in a bar, we’d be like brother and sister again. But right now it’s a no for me.”
When Kyle recently appeared on the Mention It All podcast, he shared his take on their dynamic. “Natalya is a very defensive individual, but also she is such a hard worker,” he said. “I mean, everybody has flaws — I know I do… If that emotion was taken out, [Natalya] and I would still be one of the most powerful teams.”
In an interview with BravoTV.com earlier this season, Natasha opened up about making Natalya and Kyle joint second stews.
“In 10 years [of yachting], I’ve never done that before,” she said at the time. “But when Captain Sandy [Yawn] gave me Kyle and Natalya’s CVs, I [saw] they both have the exact same amount of experience, skills, qualities. Their CVs were both outstanding.”
She added, “There was never really an area of anyone overstepping anyone. I feel like I’m a good leader, and I knew exactly how to manage the situation, because I had two very strong personalities working [for me].”
The topic of stew drama also came up during an August episode of WWHL, with Jason Gaskell weighing in on the dynamic.
Watch Below Deck Mediterranean on Bravo Mondays at 8/7c and the next day on Peacock and the Bravo app.
