Ashley Darby Shares How Being on RHOP Has Impacted Her Marriage to Michael

Ashley Darby and her husband, Michael Darby, have shared it all with fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac over the years. Now as the current Season 6 of RHOP chronicles Ashley and Michael's marriage in the lead-up to and following the birth of their second child together, son Dylan, we're seeing the couple in a very different place, especially when compared to the moments after they welcomed their first baby, Dean.

Ashley reflected on the evolution of her marriage during The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show, which you can view, above. "Having shared our lives for the last six years, we have gone through our share of difficulties in relation to our family life, in relation to a business," she said. "I mean, we've just taken so many blows that sometimes I even wonder, 'How did we make it?'"

She went on to share why she believes the couple has been able to come so far in their relationship. "But to see where we are now, to see we've overcome those things, how we've come together for our children and yet still were there for each other, were present for each other, I think it's just nice for me even to acknowledge that it hasn't been easy to get here, but we've both been committed to doing it," Ashley said. "And we've had to forgive each other for a lot of stuff, and forgiveness is so hard. But especially in a marriage, it's incredibly necessary."

Though Ashley admitted that she is still "a little bit scarred" from what the couple went through following Dean's birth last season of RHOP, the changes in Michael as a husband have made her optimistic about their future together. "I would say that it's more so his actions that he's actually showing me that he means what he says. It just feels different this time," Ashley said. "But, you know, the back of my mind, I just always am hoping that he doesn't make that mistake again and really jeopardize our family."
