New Rumors About Michael Darby Arise in The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5
Candiace Dillard Bassett received a shocking text allegedly about Ashley Darby's husband.
The Real Housewives of Potomac ladies' trip to Monique Samuels' lake house in Newburg, Maryland took a shocking turn in the September 6 episode after Candiace Dillard Bassett received a text from a friend with some information allegedly concerning Ashley Darby's husband, Michael Darby.
Candiace's friend alleged that Michael was spotted at a strip club the night before and sent along a photo that appeared to be of him. "The woman who texted me is a very good friend of mine. She works at an establishment where she has a friend, who witnessed Michael asking random women to come back to his hotel with him," Candiace said in an interview during the episode. "I've had enough drama with Ashley, with the Darbys as a whole, I don't want this."
Candiace told Gizelle Bryant about the text she received as the two got ready to go out to dinner with the group. "I pray to God that this is all a lie, this is an exaggeration, because Ashley's been gone for seven minutes. Like, she just left," Gizelle said in an interview during the episode.
Candiace asked Gizelle what she should do in this situation. "I can't have this, but I also can't not let her know," Candiace said in an interview in the episode, later sharing that she felt "bad" as she headed into dinner with her friends that night.
Michael confirmed while FaceTiming Ashley earlier in the day that he had a business dinner the night before, which included "a few drinks." Ashley later shared that while out to dinner with the group. "[Michael] had a very big dinner last night for a big project he closed, so he's got a lot of things going on," Ashley said. "I think they had a little boys' night after the dinner last night because they had some guys in town from New York."
Both Candiace and Gizelle looked uncomfortable as Ashley talked about Michael at the dinner. "I have to tell Ashley, 'Your husband is out here in these streets. You need to know,'" Candiace said in an interview during the episode.
We'll have to wait until the next episode of RHOP to find out how this dinner ends. However, a preview teased that Ashley will confront Michael about these rumors in the next episode.
