Ariana Madix Speaks Out on Concerns About Her Boyfriend Daniel Wai: "I'll Be Fine"
The Vanderpump Rules cast member made it clear that she can "take care" of herself when it comes to questions about her relationship.
In Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, viewers got a look at Ariana Madix and Daniel Wai's long-distance relationship. The couple first met just days after Ariana’s split with Tom Sandoval and later started dating. Naturally, this led to concerns among the VPR cast, as they felt Ariana might not have fully dealt with the trauma of her previous breakup.
The discussion about Ariana's new love connection continued on an episode of the Vanderpump Rules After Show (which was released during VPR Season 11 earlier this year). There, the Broadway actress addressed her friends' concerns about her relationship and shared her surprising thoughts on the matter.

As Ariana explained on the VPR After Show, “Some people are like, 'Oh, you started talking to somebody or whatever,'” before Katie Maloney interjected with, “'You had a boyfriend two days later.'”
Meanwhile, Scheana Shay admitted her concerns about Ariana and Daniel because Ariana had barely processed the heartache from Sandoval, saying, “So it had only been a matter of weeks, and that’s where I worried for her because I’m like, God forbid this doesn’t work out… she’s going to have both of that coming down on her, and that’s going to hit her like a f-cking ton of bricks.'”
Lala Kent also expressed her worries for Ariana, recalling a conversation they had in Season 6 about Ariana being in a difficult relationship in a past relationship. She said, “This has nothing to do with Dan not being a great guy.”
James Kennedy, who joined Lala and Scheana, completely understood their feeling and noted they were only “being protective of Ariana.”
When Ariana assessed the situation, she made it clear she would be perfectly fine if her relationship with Daniel didn’t work out romantically. “Here’s the thing, he could literally turn out to be, which he’s not, a f-cking con artist,” Ariana said, adding, “And guess what? I’ll be fine.”
She concluded: "I’ll take care of myself regardless.”
Ariana then shared how supportive Daniel has been in their relationship, even when she didn’t have much time to spend with him due to her busy schedule, saying, “It was a really nice thing.”
Is Ariana Madix still dating Daniel Wai?
Yes! In fact, Ariana confirmed that she and Daniel were still going strong in a sweet Instagram message for the personal trainer in honor of his birthday on May 5.
"Happy birthday to the most handsome man I know who always lets me have the first and last bite," she wrote in the caption of the post featuring a photo of the two posing nose to nose.
Of course, Daniel took to the comment section to thank his girlfriend of more than a year. "Thank you so much," he replied. "Best year ever!!"
