Southern Charm Preview: The Aftermath of Olivia Flowers and Taylor Ann Green's Sit-Down
Austen's Response to Taylor's Confession
After going their separate ways in the sneak peek for next week's episode of Southern Charm, Taylor calls Austen to fill him in on the situation.
"I just got coffee with Olivia," she begins. "I told her about our conversation that we had had. I thought that it would've been kinda one of those things that she's like, 'I appreciate you being open and honest,' but that's not really the case. It's kind of quite the opposite."
Austen, however, points out that "there was no good time to tell" Olivia. What's more, he claims Taylor "wasn't even talking" to him around the time they discussed their potential feelings for one another.
"Yeah, she was gone," Taylor responds in agreement before acknowledging not only Olivia, but also her ex, Shep Rose. "I was well within my right. Nobody was dating anyone.
Adds Austen, "I don't know what the f-cking roadmap is, Taylor, but I do know that I'm sick and tired of apologizing to f-cking everyone for not doing anything wrong. I'm just like so sick of walking on eggshells around everybody."
The Conflicting Timelines Involving Taylor, Austen, Shep, and Olivia
In her own phone conversation with Leva Bonaparte, Olivia shares a different side of the story. According to her, Taylor and Austen's conversation actually happened when she and him "were in the thick of talking about fixing things" between them. "That's the part that just feels gross," Olivia says.
Elaborating in a confessional interview, she explains, "During this time that she's saying that they had a conversation, I was in California for three days. And the entire time I was gone, Austen was reaching out to me and telling me to give him another chance. And Taylor was a huge reason why I chose to forgive him. And a week later, he suddenly has a change of heart."
Taylor, however, says in a confessional interview, "When Austen and I had that conversation, Shep and I had been broken up for about two months. Austen and Olivia, were they ever together? I mean, it was very confusing. I just never knew where exactly they were. But at that moment in time, they were not on speaking terms."
To hear both ladies share more about their version of events, you'll have to tune in to the all-new episode of Southern Charm on Oct. 5.
Where Olivia Flowers and Taylor Ann Green Stand Today
Reflecting on all of the drama — much of which is still to come on Southern Charm Season 9 — Olivia recently told ET, "Honestly, my head's still spinning from it."
"I haven't, honestly, processed a lot of things from the season, so I feel like watching it back, I'm gonna be as surprised as the viewers because I haven't been caught up with the reality of it," she added.
As for Olivia and Taylor's friendship, Olivia explained, "At the beginning, I really did want it to be, she and I, OK out of it. But it wasn't that easy, and at the end of the day, you kinda have to listen to yourself and take a step back and look at bird's eye view."
As such, the pair's friendship is currently "surface level," Taylor said. "It's certainly not what it was before."
That being said, "I don't want the 'Team Olivia,' 'Team Taylor' thing," Olivia said.
