The Southern Charm-er received a "classic, simple, and elegant" ring from her fiancé, Alex Williams, when he proposed in NYC.
Southern Charm's Olivia Flowers got engaged to Alex Williams on September 25 in New York City, and her now-fiancé popped the question with a jaw-dropping ring.
Alex shared with PEOPLE on October 3 that the "classic, simple, and elegant" ring from Bravolebrity-loved designer Nicole Rose Jewelry features a 4-carat diamond set on an 18k yellow gold band.
Although Olivia wasn't expecting the proposal, which happened at the JW Marriott Essex House in Manhattan, Alex made sure her family and friends were included in the big day.
"Olivia has such an incredible group of friends, from elementary school through to college, and she's very close with her parents, so I knew involving them somehow would mean a lot to her," Alex said. "I wanted her to feel all the love and the excitement in the world from the surprise of her loved ones. Her mom, Robin, had the idea to propose while the four of us would be in New York together for the Project Lyme Gala Olivia was speaking at."
How Did Olivia Flowers' Fiancé Alex Wiliams Propose?
Alex agreed with Robin's idea, and once that plan was set, he enlisted the help of Olivia's social media manager to convince Olivia that she was doing a photo shoot for the hotel.
However, once the couple got to an outdoor area of their suite, Alex shocked Olivia with his proposal.
"Next thing I know, Alex is...grabbing a box out of his sports coat and dropping a knee... then I drop my phone," Olivia shared. "Alex said, 'Olivia Barbara Ellen Flowers. You're the girl of my dreams. Became the love of my life. And I’d like to ask, Will you marry me?'"
How did Olivia Flowers meet Alex Williams?
In a May 13 Instagram post to mark the couple's first anniversary, Olivia shared details on how she met her soon-to-be husband.
"After arriving late to a wedding ([and] tripping up the church stairs) I was met by a handsome usher to take me to my seat," she wrote in the caption of the post. "Later, that same usher asked my date (my dad) if he could dance with me..."
"A year later and we're still dancing (and tripping up the stairs)," she added. "Cheers to stage 5 clinging."
On the December 2023 episode of the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast, Olivia revealed that she and Alex live in different cities.
"He lives in Dallas, where I'm from," she said at the time. "It is [long distance], but he can work [remotely], so he's in Charleston a little bit."
