What Did Angie Katsanevas' Scroll Say, Exactly? "Perpetuating Narratives..."
On the RHOSLC Season 5 premiere, Angie Katsenavas decided to share her issues with Meredith Marks in a big (and medieval) way.
Receipts! Proof! Timeline! ... Scrolls? Time and time again, we've seen the power that showing up with receipts can hold in a Housewives gathering, but what happens when you show up with a medieval scroll listing someone's alleged wrongdoings instead? Angie Katsanevas found out firsthand during Season 5, Episode 1 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City — and now you can find out exactly what her dramatic accessory said.
While attending Lisa Barlow's "Besos" party on the September 18 episode, Angie came up to Meredith Marks and asked for a moment of her time. "Heather [Gay] made me aware that you are wanting an apology from me. And I'm happy to give you an apology, Meredith. [But] here's a few things I'd like an apology for," she said before unfurling a GIANT scroll. "So, number one ... "
Then, in a confessional, Angie once again unfurled the scroll so the camera could see it. While certain deeds were blurred out, most were visible. The list included everything from "threatening rumors" to "perpetuating narratives" on social media, among other things.
But when Angie read the list out loud to Meredith, she denied any wrongdoing. "I didn't say that," she said in response to one accusation before walking away. "You know what? I'm finished."
Reactions to Angie K.'s scroll
As other party attendees began to realize what was happening, they couldn't help but comment on the situation.
"Angie has a scroll," said Whitney Rose, while Lisa Barlow noticed and asked, "Why does Angie have a scroll?"
"She's got a list of made up sh-t," noted Meredith, although Angie chimed in to say it certainly wasn't made up.
"This is some calculated sh-t," Heather chimed in while laughing in a confessional interview. "I mean, she had to go to a craft store, catalogue every grievance she'd ever had, and then stash it in her purse like a hidden weapon."
Later, during dinner, Angie jokingly whipped the scroll around after going in her purse for lip gloss.
"I think that was a bad foot to start off on honestly," said Heather before Angie and Meredith once again started fighting.
Why did Angie K. bring a scroll to Lisa Barlow's "Besos" party?
In a confessional, Angie explained what she was trying to do when she decided to bring out the prop. Ultimately, it was supposed to be funny.
"I still would like an apology, but I thought when Meredith saw the list of things I'd like an apology for she could laugh it off. But Meredith has no sense of humor. I think it all went down the drain with her dirty bath water," she concluded.
