The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City never do anything halfway, especially when it comes to hosting events. So of course when Angie Katsanevas and husband Shawn threw an anniversary party, they made it as amazingly over-the-top as possible. In other words, you can check "Mob Wives" anniversary party off of your RHOSLC Season 5 Bingo card.

The lavish theme was likely a cheeky nod to the rumors from Season 4 that suggested the hair salon owners were involved with the Greek mafia. These allegedly surfaced from fellow cast member Meredith Marks, who acknowledged their previous tension when she visited Angie at home. The jewelry designer ended up scoring an invite to the fete after all — Angie delightfully had "an associate" personally invite the 'Wives in a mafia-esque manner — and was far from the evening's headlining drama.

In addition to Meredith and husband Seth, Angie invited Lisa Barlow and her husband John, Whitney Rose and husband Justin, Heather Gay, Mary Cosby, Bronwyn Newport, Meili Workman, and Britani Bateman. Everyone arrived dressed to the nines in mafia-inspired couture. Bronwyn felt underdressed, and we're going to go out on a leg and guess that is probably the only time in history she's ever said that.

So, the anniversary. Britani unknowingly arrived with a plus one that Heather had previously dated, and then her on-again, off-again beau Jared Osmond also arrived, but flying solo. Interviews during the episode revealed that Justin had invited him without Whitney's knowledge, and that wasn't the only time Justin ended up in someone's hot seat that night.

In the Season 5 premiere, Lisa said at her Besos dinner that she was hurt by what Whitney said about her on a podcast earlier that February. Viewers have seen a strained relationship between the two since, but it didn't truly escalate until the party. Whitney told Lisa that she had someone confirm Lisa was behind the implication that her jewelry line wasn't as high end as she claimed, and the Vida Tequila owner had an enormous reaction.

Lisa called her cybersecurity team right there from the table, requesting that they bring in local authorities to dispel the rumor if necessary. Tempers flared. The husbands got involved. Soon, Lisa, Whitney, John, and Justin were all raising their voices, but where would an RHOSLC theme party be without a little confrontation?

Of course, that wasn't all that happened. Bronwyn casually joked that her husband is "The Toddfather," which is amazing; Angie's father gave a lovely and heartfelt speech about marriage, and Mary and Heather's friendship is on the rocks again. Mamma Mia!
