Angie K. Opens Up on Daughter Elektra's School Life, Equestrian Success & Future Goals
Plus, get details on the role Elektra's playing in the design process for Angie Katsanevas' new home.
Angie Katsanevas is sharing the latest on her and husband Shawn Trujillo's 13-year-old daughter, Elektra.
"She has a great group of friends, she loves school, and she's having a lot of fun," The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member exclusively told The Daily Dish back in September. "She's very well adjusted, she's funny, and she just got a new horse named Glitter."
Horse riding isn't just a hobby for Elektra, though.
Angie Katsanevas' daughter Elektra is a talented equestrian
"She's on the national Hunter Jumper show circuit," Angie said of her daughter. "She's competing about every other month, and she went to Pony Finals, which is a national show, and she competed at the Rolex Arena in Kentucky this year. That was huge for her."
Even more huge is the fact that Angie, Sean, and Elektra are moving out of their $4.5 million Salt Lake City home in order to build a house with more land, as it's the teenager's "dream" to spend "the rest of her childhood living on horse property with dogs and multiple horses."
Angie K. shares daughter Elektra's career goals
It's no surprise that Elektra's biggest goal for her future involves horses. More specifically, as Angie shared, "On our property, and as a career, she wants to train and breed horses. So she can start doing that at a young age."
"And my daughter, when she makes up her mind on something, she sticks to it, so I believe she's going to do that," Angie added. "That's why I love the idea of [a] horse property because she's not someone that changes her mind every day. So, she's all in."
Elektra is helping to design the Katsanevas' new home
Angie revealed that Elektra has, more specifically, taken charge of designing the barn.
"She's got plans to plant red roses outside of it. That's her idea," Angie said. "She's picked a dark wood. She wants these really beautiful chandeliers for the interior that she's already picked so she's already got it styled out, so fingers crossed it all works out."
And it's safe to say that the barn will get plenty of use once it's done.
"I love the thought of chores for my daughter, and she loves chores with horses. She doesn't love to clean her room, but she loves to go out in the morning, feed, groom," Angie shared. "She loves animals, so we'll make sure the stable part is very beautiful."
