When Will Aesha Scott Marry Scott Dobson? Get the Details on Their "Big Wedding"
The Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew tells The Daily Dish all about her upcoming wedding, including if Captain Sandy Yawn will be invited.
After Scott "Scotty" Dobson surprised Aesha Scott with a stunning marriage proposal in May, the couple is getting ready to plan a "big wedding." However, the Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew and her longtime love are not a rush to walk down the aisle anytime soon.
"We are loving basking in the moment and enjoying this phase of our relationship," Aesha told The Daily Dish on May 29. "We want to have a long engagement."
With that in mind, Aesha and Scott plan to get married in 2025. "We want to do it in the New Zealand summer, which is obviously over the Christmas time," Aesha explained. "We don’t want to do it this summer. We want to do it next summer. We wanted to enjoy this phase, and we also wanted to wait long enough that all of our American friends and family had enough time to save and to really turn it into a big holiday."
Where will Aesha Scott and Scott Dobson get married?
Aesha already has a clear vision for her special day. "We will probably have a big wedding outside," she said."I would love to do it by the ocean, looking out to the water. Definitely in New Zealand. That’s where both of our hearts are. We want to make it convenient for as many attendees as possible, so we would love to do it close to our hometowns."

When it comes to deciding what she will wear for the big day, Aesha shared, "I’m tossing up between a couple of New Zealand designers because I want to keep it local; I want to support New Zealand."
"I’ve got these two designers that I love," she continued. "There’s LVR Bridal, who is a friend of mine and a bridal design business. Then there’s also BW who ... I’ve worn in the past at BravoCon and things like that, who is also keen to make the dress."
And who says she needs to choose between them? "I was thinking I could try to do something where it’s like one makes the dress and one makes the reception outfit," she explained. "Something like that."
No matter what she chooses for her wardrobe, Aesha is confident she will be "very well dressed" on the big day.
Will Captain Sandy Yawn be invited to Aesha Scott and Scott Dobson's wedding?
As Below Deck Mediterranean viewers saw on the Season 9 premiere, Aesha and Captain Sandy Yawn have a special friendship on and off the yacht. The two are so close that Sandy told The Daily Dish on May 31, "I guarantee you I'll get invited to [Aesha's] wedding."
Aesha confirmed that is true in her May 29 interview, declaring, " I’ll definitely be inviting Sandy."
While Sandy seemed excited to be included in the wedding day, she explained, "I don't need to have a role. Just being a guest would be cool. I'm so happy she has her sweetheart. He's incredible."
Sandy won't be the only Bravolebrity invited to the wedding. "Tzarina [Mace-Ralph] has already said she wants to be a bridesmaid," Aesha shared. "She won’t be a bridesmaid, but I’ll definitely have her along. We’ll have some Bravo people there for sure."
She added: "The Below Deck family is such a bonded family. We go through so many weird and wonderful things together. So I’ll definitely have some guests there.
Because she considers herself "such a social person," Aesha wants to have a large guest list.
"My friends and my relationships with them mean the world to me," she explained. "I’m lucky enough to have amazing friends all over the world. So I really do want as many people to come as possible without it being silly."
