Venita Aspen Has a Genius Solution for Storage Space in Her Charleston Home (VIDEO)
The Southern Charm fashionista shared where she keeps her enviable — and vast — clothing collection in a tour of her house.
Venita Aspen doesn't have much need for a dining room. However, she does need a good amount of storage space. So when she moved into her gorgeous Charleston abode, which you can tour in the clip above, the trendsetter got creative with her space.
Why does Venita need ample storage space, you ask? It all comes down to one thing: Wardrobe. Venita's bio for Southern Charm Season 9 states: "Ever the fashionista, Venita is an influencer with perfect head-to-toe outfits and an eye for the latest trends." Basically, it's Venita's job to inspire her followers with an endless array of perfectly curated looks — and it would be hard to store all her outfits in one teeny closet.
In the house tour above, Venita says, "When I first moved in, I only had one closet, and it was this itty-bitty closet combined with my laundry." Instead of using that as her main closet, the fashionista came up with an ingenious solution, which she goes on to describe in the clip.
How Venita Aspen turned her dining room into a closet
"I took my dining room and I turned it into the closet," Venita shares. "I had no need for a dining room whatsoever." Entering a spacious, impeccably organized storage space, she throws her arms up triumphantly and declares: "This is my dining room closet."
The closet isn't filled with cutlery, of course. "It has more clothes than I can count," Venita says, along with "fun little pieces like these boots, because I have nowhere else to put them." Holding up the tall snakeskin boots, she muses, "I think I need to get another house because I'm running out of storage space for all my things."
Speaking of beautiful things, Venita goes on to share her "prized possession" from her closet. Though it's housed in a garment bag in the clip, we get a small peek of the intricate designs on a blue dress that's close to Venita's heart. "It's made out of silk, and it is hand-done," she says proudly.
Venita's closet also houses shoes, hair accessories, and some very dressed-up dolls. Pointing to the top shelf, where an array of boxed dolls are perched, Venita shares that her closet houses her entire Barbie collection. "I have collected Barbies since the day I was born," she shares. "My godmother started the tradition with me, and I have received a Babrie every year since I was born."
