Southern Charm Newcomer Jarrett "JT" Thomas Opens Up About His Real Estate Career
The Southern Charm cast member shared details on his business, including one particularly "incredible" project.
On Season 9 of Southern Charm, viewers are getting to know newcomer Jarrett "JT" Thomas, and in the video above, he shares new details about his family and career.
In the clip, which is a preview of Season 9 Episode 3, JT was catching up with his mother via FaceTime. After talking out his night out with some of his castmates, JT switched gears and got down to business. "I gotta tell you, the event space, it's pretty much done, and what an incredible mommy-son project," he said. "Couldn't have done it without you."
His mom grinned as she heard the update and gushed, "It's a space unlike anything else in Charleston."
Jarrett "JT" Thomas' Real Estate Career Details
In an episode interview shown in the video, JT shared more about how his mom inspired him to get into a career in real estate.
"My mom's a top interior designer in the D.C. area. She renovates properties," he explained. "She showed me the ropes, and now I invest in real estate, I develop real estate, I renovate real estate."
In addition to the news about his event space, JT had another exciting update to share with his mom: "We broke ground on the largest Airbnb in downtown Charleston just a couple blocks down the street."
As JT explained in an interview, "One of my core businesses is a collection of Airbnbs in Downtown Charleston, and that's why a couple of years ago I actually made Charleston my full-time home." According to JT's official cast bio, he's a Virginia native.

JT's Instagram bio notes he is the founder of The Inns, a luxury collection of Airbnb and VRBO properties in Charleston. "The Inns were started because our team saw a gap in the luxury vacation rental space," reads a description on the company's website. "Very few, if any, competitors were meeting the demand for upscale and professionally decorated houses in the [short-term] rental market. We made it our goal to build a brand that delivers the same [high-quality] experience that one would normally associate with a luxury hotel."
"We started with only two locations in Charleston, SC," the blurb continues. "Building off the success of these first two homes, we now continue to expand, not only in Charleston, but across the country. Our sole mission is to deliver the highest level of luxury vacation rental experience to all of our guests no matter what city they are visiting."
On Season 9 Episode 4 of Southern Charm, JT shared more about his company. "Five or six years ago, me and two other business partners started buying all these historic properties in this one neighborhood for Airbnb, and we named this collection The Inns," he said. Going on to explain his recent project, The Inns Clubhouse, he said, "We turned this derelict, P.O.S. building into this amazing event space with an old world, masculine vibe."
In addition to having an "incredibly successful" real estate business, JT's cast bio notes, "he’s also a pro at partying," which viewers will likely see on this season of Southern Charm. As for what else to expect from JT, the bio goes on to explain, "His friendships with Shep [Rose], Craig [Conover], and Austen [Kroll] have cemented him in the group, but he’s looking for a partner to spend the rest of his life with and has a particular southern belle in mind."
