Craig Conover Gives a “Frustrating” Update on His Living Situation with Paige DeSorbo
The Southern Charm-er explained why he and his Summer House girlfriend are “in a tough spot” as they continue to navigate their long-distance relationship.
Since beginning a long-distance relationship in 2021, Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover have had some tough conversations about their living arrangement.
On Season 7 Episode 9 of Summer House, Paige, who is based in New York City, explained to the Southern Charm cast member why it felt “scary” to consider moving full-time to his home in Charleston. “I will be changing a lot more than you would be. I will be changing my whole life,” she said. “I have no friends in Charleston, I don’t know anyone, and my whole career is [in New York].”
Paige shared more about her feelings on the matter during Part 2 of the Summer House Season 7 reunion. “I have only known living in the state of New York, I’m very close to my parents, and the thought of being a plane ride away to my family when I’m starting my own family was very scary to me — it still is very scary to me," she said. However, she isn’t looking for Craig to relocate to the Big Apple either. “I know Craig so well, and he — long term — wouldn’t be happy in New York, and I wouldn’t want to put that on him.”

Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo give an update on their living situation
In the clip, which is a first look at the Season 9 premiere of Southern Charm, Craig explains that his home renovation is making him think about this relationship in a new light.
“When me and Paige first started to date, the house was still in shambles,” he says. “I think this house is finally to the level where I can start to look at the future and the future of me and Paige’s relationship.”
However, they still have different feelings about their next move. While discussing Paige’s involvement in designing Craig’s home, he explains, “I’m glad you were a part of it, because I want you to be comfortable down here.”
“Obviously I figured out a way to work from New York, which was good,” he continues. “And that’s kind of what I want to see from you down here.”
Although Paige notes she recently spent “two full weeks” with Craig in Charleston, he responds, “I mean, we’ve never really spent that much time apart. We’ve always been like four or five days at the most. So being away from each other for like three days now feels like a lot.”
Although Paige agrees with that, she retorts, “But you can’t just plan, like, ‘OK, and now you’ll be in Charleston forever.’”
In an interview in the clip, Craig admits, “Paige and I are in a tough spot.”
“We’ve been dating for over a year, we’re kind of in the same spot,” he adds. “So it’s getting a little frustrating.”
