The Daily Dish Southern Charm

We All Need Danni Baird’s Artwork in Our Lives (and On Our Walls)

She's got skills.

By Courtney Thompson

This season of Southern Charm revealed a whole lot about all of its cast members, Danni Baird very much included. While we’ve always known her to be pretty, fun and smart, this year we saw Danni being the loyal, ride-or-die BFF we all need in our lives. Defending Kathryn Calhoun Dennis during the infamous Hilton Head blowup, who wasn’t screaming, “Yasss, Danni!” on their couch as she went off on Thomas Ravenel’s sh*t-stirring girlfriend Ashley Jacobs?

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Bravo Thursday, December 5 at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

We also learned that Danni isn’t one to settle when it comes to love, which is why she ended her engagement shortly before her wedding day. “If it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be,” she recently told The Daily Dish. “I'm self-aware enough, I guess, to have been able to identify that.”

Lucky for us, our girl’s been busy on her current love — artwork. While she previously worked in the wine and spirits industry, Danni is now full-time pursuing art as a profession. "Honestly, I literally am focusing on my career,” she revealed. “Unfortunately, with artwork, you can't rush it. Yeah, I've really just been focused on me.”

Well, her time spent honing her craft has paid off. The blonde beauty has been revealing some of her pieces — most recently her watercolor and colored pencil gemstone prints — on social media, and the works’ range and depth put her in the big leagues. Her besties are also supporting Danni every step of the way, including Naomie Olindo who gave the artist a shoutout on Instagram over the weekend.

While some pieces (like the gems) are just right for a bachelorette pad, others like the painting of Hurricane Irma hitting Charleston (see below) are so gorgeous and complex, they can easily hold court on your mantle or take a prominent place on your wall. The mermaid tales, created from watercolor and ink, are perfect for a little girl’s room or kid’s bathroom. (And Danni is currently offering a buy two get one free promo on these beauties!)

Danni sells the pieces, which start at $65, on her website Danni Baird Designs, and you can also commission her to do full-size originals, which take six to eight weeks (she charges $130 an hour for her work). Below are a few of our favorites!
