Patricia Altschul's Front Door Holiday Wreath Can Work Straight through Spring
The Southern Charm matriarch can definitely get some more use out of that puppy for the next few months.
Guess what, team? The holidays are almost over. And unlike the rest of us, Patricia Altschul and her butler Michael Kelcourse were able to foresee how fleeting this time of year is when they created her front door wreath. That’s right, the Southern Charm caftan designer opted for something cheerful, colorful and — no pun intended — totally evergreen, meaning it can work just as well during the holidays as it can in January, February, and March. Clever girl!
If you’re like me, than your front door wreath is enveloped in a bright red ribbon and sparkly doo dads that scream, “CHRISTMAS!” Which means I pretty much have to take it down by January 2, otherwise I’m one of those people (you know the ones who keep up their holiday decorations way too long!).
Patricia’s wreath accoutrements included two giant pineapples, five apples and six lemons, and the result is something that is festive and welcoming that won’t be a total eyesore next month.
One thing is for sure, I’m remembering this design trick for next year!!
