Kevin Hunter Jr. Appeared in Court for Allegedly Punching His Dad in the Face... While His Parents Waited in the Car (UPDATED)
Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter reunited to support Kevin Hunter Jr. in an assault case against his father.
UPDATE (July 10, 2019 11:30 a.m.) Kevin Hunter Jr. and his father appeared in a New Jersey courthouse on Wednesday, according to TMZ. Prosecutors said they'd reviewed the case (where Kevin Jr. allegedly punched Kevin Sr. in the fact during a parking lot scuffle) and that they "decided to no longer pursue charges." Kevin Hunter Sr. told the judge he agreed with this decision, and father and son left court together. (Mom Wendy Williams is filming today.)

Wendy Williams and her estranged husband, Kevin Hunter, haven't seen eye to eye in a long time, but the former couple united Tuesday in support of their son, Kevin Hunter, Jr., who was in court to address his May 22 arrest for allegedly assaulting his father. Hunter Jr., 18, pleaded not guilty to the domestic incident.
According to TMZ, Williams and Hunter Sr. waited together in a car outside the courthouse and were advised it was unnecessary for them to appear in the courtroom because the case would be continuing.
Hunter Jr. was arrested on May 22 in a New Jersey parking lot for allegedly assaulting his father, who said the next day that he wouldn't be pressing charges.
"I love my son very much and I will not be pursuing this matter legally. Things are not always how they appear," Hunter Sr. told TMZ, which reported the altercation followed an argument about Hunter Sr. seeking spousal support and resulted in the father putting a headlock on son, who allegedly punched him to get out of the headlock.
Williams has filed for divorce from her husband after 21 years of marriage, alleging publicly that he had a child with his mistress of more than a decade.
The Wendy Williams Show has been on hiatus for several weeks, during which she enjoyed a wild Los Angeles vacation and met and traveled home with a new 27-year-old gentleman friend named Marc Tomblin.
"Look, my husband had a full baby with a woman he was involved with for 15 years ... where I was cooped up only to be a show pony. Now, I'm living my life," she told TMZ as paparazzi asked about her bicoastal jaunts with Tomblin.
