Why Is Kourtney Kardashian Trying to Be Cool in Front of Kendall Jenner's Friends?
Why does Kourtney Kardashian care about impressing her younger sister's friends?
Kendall Jenner is extremely frustrated with older sister Kourtney Kardashian. Jenner, 23, says her 40-year-old sister was having fun at her expense on a group trip to Mammoth, CA., because she was trying to look cool in front of Kendall’s younger friends.
"This past weekend, Kourtney came with me and my friends on a ski trip," Kendall explains in a Keeping Up With the Kardashians confessional. "You know, Kourtney and I have been getting a bit closer over the past couple years and I love that she hangs out with me and my friends. But, to be honest, I felt like there were just some moments where she was a bit rude and it really started to get to me at a certain point."
She told Khloe Kardashian that Kourtney was just trying to be cool.
"I just felt like she was trying to be cool in front of my friends and younger people that are cool — at my expense," Kendall said.
Kendall's friends took Kourtney’s side, laughing when she joked about Kendall.
Kourtney has also taken to dating much younger guys. Back in January she had even invited her sometime boytoy Luka Sabbat to come on a ski trip with Kendall and pals.
According to E!, "Kourtney invited Luka to come on the trip with them because he is friends with the whole group of girls and she thought it would be fun. He's been hanging around a lot and Kourtney is always excited to see him.”
Sister relationships can be difficult at times. Because they tend to be lifelong, you need to try to find a way to get along.
According to Psychology Today, "Clarifying or resolving a sibling relationship is extremely important to one’s well-being because cooperation between siblings is often needed when taking care of aging parents, as well as potentially taking care of each other."
"There is enormous societal pressure to get along with one’s family members, but that trope ignores the reality of the normal ups and downs that siblings experience across the lifespan," Psychology Today added.
Another report on dealing with difficult siblings advises that "you may not be able to change [their] behavior, but you can change the way you respond,” and that you can "disarm [them] by telling a joke or mentioning something about him that you genuinely admire.”
Since this is the Kardashians, and there's always drama, we sense these two will be just fine.
