Selling a home for $45 million sounds like an achievement worth celebrating for days, but it's a little different for Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber. The supermodel and her entrepreneurial beau sold their oceanfront Malibu mansion for $45 million ... but they actually bought the property for $50.5 million in 2015, which means they're taking on roughly a $5.5 million loss (not counting any money spent on renovations!). The story goes that the couple originally listed for $60 million and then dropped to $50.5 million, and ultimately settled at $45 million. Which is still a lot of money, but it's a loss nonetheless.
According to W, they also flipped a property in 2015 to the tune of a $6 to $7 million profit, so maybe they can call it all just about even?
