Here’s How Tracy Tutor’s Daughter Juliet Feels About Working for Her Mom as an Intern
The MDLLA agent’s eldest daughter shared her mixed feelings about joining Tracy’s real estate team.
On the January 19 episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Tracy Tutor was working to expand her business to Texas. As she ran through real estate questions with her longtime team member Gina and her daughter Juliet, the teenager admitted, “This is, like, very terrifying…you know all of these things, and I don’t know them.”
“You’ll learn them,” Tracy told Juliet, who had recently started as a summer intern on Tracy’s team. “Interning with us is valuable for you as, like, an adult.”
In an episode interview, Tracy explained how she came to hire her daughter for the position. “Little miss over here was supposed to find her own internship this summer, and come June, no internship,” she said. “So Juliet is going to come and work for me.”
Juliet initially had mixed feelings about working on the team. “The thing that I was originally deterred by was the fact that my mother would also be my boss,” she shared. “But once she kind of convinced me that it wouldn’t be just her in the office and I would be able to work with the team, I was a little more convinced, and I actually am really excited at this point.”
While Tracy will be happy with any career path her daughter takes, she feels it’s important to teach Juliet her real estate skills. “Whatever you want to do is fine with me, but I think we should all know how to buy and sell real estate and figure out how to make money,” Tracy said. “It’s like the one tangible asset that you’ll have as an adult. This entire house is going to be what I’m going to hand down to you and Scarlett. It’s your nest egg.” (Watch the video above to take a tour of the house.)
As Juliet is considering her next steps, she’s keeping an open mind about her future occupation. “I don’t really have a dream job at this point in my life. I’m still learning about myself and my passions,” she explained. “But I am interested in what my mom does.”
After letting out a squeal, Tracy exclaimed, “So you’re saying there’s a chance,” to which Juliet echoed, “There’s a chance.”
