Josh Altman & Matt Altman Just Hit a Major Career Milestone
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles brothers recently had a "surreal" career moment.
On October 12, Josh Altman announced that he, Matt Altman, and their team had hit a major career milestone.
"This is surreal writing this," he wrote on Instagram. "Last week I got a call from a [Douglas Elliman] exec congratulating us on hitting a billion in sales in Q3 this year."
"We have done nothing but hustle this entire year," he added. "We lost it all before in 2007 when we went broke so [the COVID-19 pandemic] wasn't going to stop us. We came out of the pandemic full speed & made a deal w/each other, we [were] going to work 2x as hard, spend 2x as much money marketing to make up lost time. The rest is history. The world changed, the market went crazy."
"To make it even sweeter," Josh explained, "The deal that we crossed the billion $ sales threshold was the sale of Gene Simmons’s house." He concluded in a comment: "To put this in perspective we had a record breaking year in 2020 selling almost 600 million in residential sales. This year we will be doubling that...."
In a recent interview with BravoTV.com, Josh opened up about the incredible accomplishment. "It's been a goal of ours that, realistically, was more of a dream than a goal," he said. "It's nice to see it [come to fruition] just because we do live for our job. We love our clients, but we've made this our lifestyle at this point."
Noting that he almost "never," puts his phone away, even on vacation, Josh added, "We've definitely made sacrifices to achieve that [goal]. Being able to do that just with our small family office is something we're super proud of, and I think it talks a lot about the real estate market, where it's at today."
