Josh & Matt Altman Surprised Their Parents with the Most Incredible $5.9M Gift
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles brothers thanked their parents for their support with a beautiful new home.
On the November 11 episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Josh Altman and Matt Altman gave their parents a tour of a house that Josh described as "one of the most beautiful mid-century moderns I've ever seen." Little did Alan and Judi know, their sons had a major surprise in store: the $5.9 million furnished abode wasn't one of Josh and Matt's amazing listings. It was a gift for them.
While looking around the 3,151-square-foot house, it was clear that the home was going to be a perfect surprise. "This is unbelievable," Judi exclaimed, before Alan added, "Even the bathroom view is incredible." After ending their tour by checking out the backyard's pool and spa, the brothers were ready to share the news.
"Josh and I are aware of how bad we were as young kids," Matt said. "And it was always so special that you guys got us our first apartment out here. It was just such an important thing for us. We were able to start our career because of it, and we know how fortunate we are for that."
"We wanted to thank you in a way that really we only know how to thank you, and show our appreciation for everything you've done, and we want you to be around [your] grandchildren as much as possible," Josh added. "This house is yours."
In an interview during the episode, Josh teared up while reflecting on what buying the house meant to him. "This moment right now, you think about all the things I've sacrificed to get to where I am today, and for me to be able to do this, it kind of just puts a bow on the last 20 years of my life."
