Toya Bush-Harris Explains Why She Moves So Often: "I Can't Get Comfortable"

The Married to Medicine cast member addressed fan questions about her current living situation at BravoCon 2023.

Toya Bush-Harris is living her life on her own terms.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine premiering November 24 on Bravo. Now streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

During the panel "Paging All Married to Medicine Fans: A 10-Season Celebration" at BravoCon 2023, one attendee walked up to the mic to ask the Married to Medicine cast member a question: "Now, we've watched you over the past 10 years move into 10 different homes — would you consider going into real estate considering you have so much experience in the Atlanta market?"

What did Toya have to say to this? "Let's be clear: I'm going to take this as a slight shade," she said as the crowd hollered in the background.

Toya and her husband Dr. Eugene Harris' living situation has repeatedly been discussed throughout Married to Medicine. Cameras were rolling as she and Eugene renovated home after home, only to once again pack up shop and relocate. In recent seasons, it seemed the constant moving was putting a strain on Eugene, who once told Toya to consider tightening her spending.

But it seems that Toya is content to move wherever and whenever she wishes. As she told the audience member, "The reality is this: I've probably lived in over 10 to 16 houses since I moved out of my mom's home. I can't get comfortable. I'm one of those people; I'm watching that real estate and I'm watching that dollar and we built an amazing dream house, but I'm like, 'Baby, we could build two more.'"

Additionally, Toya continued, "I really am, truly, not attached to the house, I'm attached to my family and that's it."

As for how she and Eugene are faring financially, Toya said earlier in the panel that they're doing just fine. "At the end of the day we are living the life that the Harrises are meant to live," she said.

Toya's Real Estate Wish List

In the Season 9 premiere of Married to Medicine, Toya revealed that she was motivated to leave her last "dream home" and move into a rental after realizing that it didn't have everything she wanted. For starters, there wasn't an elevator or space for other amenities.

"The last house couldn’t have a tennis court, couldn’t do anything,” she explained. “Beautiful pool, but it just wasn’t large enough for kids and adults. I’m not attached to a home. The home was my family.”

More than that, the last house was apparently the site of some spooky events. While speaking with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live!, she revealed that there was some "demonic mail" sent to her home.

"We were getting crazy things in our mailbox," she said, adding that the scary missives are no longer an issue in the rental.

All's well that ends well!
