On March 14, Joe Giudice was released from prison after serving a 41-month sentence and was moved "to a facility in western Pennsylvania which houses immigration detainees." Now, he is currently waiting on a decision to be made in connection an appeal filed in November 2018 by his team after a judge ruled in October 2018 that he would be deported back to Italy upon the completion of his sentence.

Teresa Giudice stepped out to celebrate her brother Joe Gorga's book release last week — and it was there there he and wife Melissa Gorga offered an update on how Teresa is doing in the wake of her family's legal troubles. "She's doing good. She's OK. She's hanging in there. What can you do? You have to just wait it out now and see what happens," Melissa told E! News, reiterating: "We have to wait and see what happens and see how it goes."

Melissa also noted to Extra that her sister-in-law is "being strong" as she and her family waits for the appeal in the case to be answered.

Joe, who was born in Italy, served his prison sentence in connection with mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud charges, which he pleaded guilty to in 2014. On Thursday, March 14, his attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., told The Daily Dish in a statement that now “his lawyers and his family are hopeful that justice will prevail and Mr. Giudice will return home to his wife and four daughters who love him and miss him" when it comes to his appeal.

Joe Gorga told Extra that with Joe's future still up in the air, his Real Housewives of New Jersey sister "is hanging in there — what else can she do? At least he's out and he has a 50/50 shot. We’ll see what happens."
